Hi everyone! My daughters cleaned out there hair supplies the other day and they gave me a hand full of spring clamps that they don't use anymore. My family knows not to throw anything out until they ask if it could be a potential blog post, Lol.

Courtney handed me these clips and said, I'm sure you can clamp something with these for a blog post.

Silverware Caddy…To Office Organizer

Thrift store shopping is the best place to find unique items that you can use throughout your home. Even if you don't want to use something for it's original purpose, for a good price, you'll find a way to use it!!

I bought this wrought iron silverware caddy at a thrift store for $4.00. I love to use it for family parties or when I serve dinner buffet style.

It is a great silverware caddy, but when I'm not using it for dinners, I use for a message/office center too.

Computer Desk...Turned Beverage Cabinet

Hi everyone! You know thrift stores are my favorite to find interesting things, especially furniture. I found this computer cabinet and I love it for so many reasons. It was already painted black to match other furniture in the house, it's great for storage and the best part…it was $30!!

I put it in the dining room, because that corner needed a larger piece of furniture and my daughter Courtney need a place for her computer. However, she moved her computer up to her room, so now I have a great space to store "stuff"!!

Our dining room is off the kitchen and is really not formal at all, so this cabinet can be used for just about anything at all.

Organizing Your Travel Mugs...

Sometimes it's the little things in life things that make your day easier and less stressful, especially in the morning rushing off to work or school. Most of you know that organizing is my life and making everything easy for my family is the most important thing for me.

One area in the house I organized last year was a spot in the kitchen. It was an area off to the side at the bottom of the stairs. It's a coffee bar and hot drinks too...tea, hot chocolate etc. You can click HERE for all the posts of this coffee bar. The bottom of this was an old desk and the top was a shelf left in the basement by the previous owners. They stored paint on it. I put the 2 pieces together and added a little crown molding to the top.

Here's how it looks today...we use this area several times a day, every day. We make all our hot drinks here on the way out the door to work and the rest of the day too.

Little black fabric bins that I bought at the Christmas Tree Shop for $1.00 each are great to hold all the things we need.

I made name tags cut with a decorative paper punch to label all the "stuff"...coffee, tea, decaf, sugar, hot cocoa, splenda, etc. They are held on with a key ring.

This was the drawer for all the travel mugs. It worked for a while, but it was small and we lost the caps to the mugs on the bottom and the drawer would get tuck when we jammed in all the mugs.

Organize Under Your Kitchen Sink...

After we did our kitchen remodel earlier this year, I tried to organize different parts of the kitchen and really clean things out. Under the kitchen sink was one of those areas.

Spray bottles, liquid soap, detergents, cleaners, furniture oil, drain cleaner etc...if you need cleaners, it's under there.

Elevating the spray bottles really helped free up space on the cabinet floor.

Organize Your Kitchen...Cookie Sheets

Here's a quick tip to organize your cookie sheets, cutting boards and other bakeware pans. I think they are one the hardest things to organize in the kitchen...right up there with plastic containers. If you stack cookie sheets on top of each other, it's a pain to rummage through to find the correct one. You can't stand them up or lean them against something either, because they will tumble over. Been there...done both!

Here's my solution, an office filing rack!!

Thrifty Thursday...Olive Oil Soap Dispenser

Hi everyone! Welcome to another Thrifty Thursday. I have a few thrifty finds today, but the main one is a liquid dish soap dispenser.

We had a recent kitchen remodel and the island is in the center of our home, open to every room. I've tried to find things to use around the sink that are "pretty" since the front door is not too far away and the kitchen is the first thing you see.

Here is the liquid soap dispenser. I found it in the kitchen section of Walmart for $4.00

It's an olive oil dispenser. It's a glass bottle with the dispensing tip.

My neurotic OCD goal would be to use up all the green, then the orange soap I have left and use a clear soap in this bottle. I know...crazy, but I guess it's all in the details Lol !!

It has a slower drizzle which I like...not too much soap all at once, especially with the soaps that are concentrated now. You don't need too much of it.

I think you can just buy the tip, so you can add it to any pretty bottle of your own. Maybe a wine bottle or something similar.

I also wanted to share the other thrifty finds in this picture.

The white porcelain cake plate was in the clearance rack of Marshall's / Home Goods for $6.00.

The lemons are the best deal for me!!! They're not real. I couldn't see myself buying real lemons all the time just for a decoration.  I don't use lemons enough to justify buying them fresh and have them rot on the counter.

These lemons are from the Dollar Tree!! Well worth it, because they look so real...the texture on the skin and the color. Every single person who comes into the house thinks they're real.

The cake plate is one that you may have seen in stores. It comes with a ribbon that runs through the slots on the rim. I just took the ribbon out!

The white plant pot is from the thrift store or a consignment shop...can't remember. I do remember it was only $1.50.

It's plastic, but looks like porcelain. Never turn down something that's plastic...I go for the shape or style of the item.

Here is a Thrifting Tip...

When you're out thrifting at consignment shops or yard sales, have a list of things you need or want for your home or family...even the simplest of things like a pot for a plant. Have measurements, colors, sizes etc. Really helps when you come across that "great find" and you know it will be a perfect fit.

This list may not be a high priority list, but when you can get something for a $1.50 instead of paying full price...all the better.

Kitchen Cupboard Organization...

We had our kitchen remodeled last month (before and after post with pictures soon) and I did a little organizing when we had to put the kitchen back together.

I wanted to share what I did in one of the cupboards that holds all those little things that might get lost in the shelves. I did have something similar in the past, but the boxes were smaller and I only used a few of them for gravy packets and such.

Organized Food Pantry...From a Coat Closet

I had promised at the start of the New Year that we were going to get organized together...one spot in the house at a time. Today...it's the food pantry or food closet as we call it.

Our house was built in 1975, so big walk in food pantries weren't even a thought. We needed a spot for extra food storage or bigger items, but upstairs for easy access.

This little coat closet is by our front door,  just around the corner from the kitchen...perfect for a "pantry"
