Easy Breakfast Brunch Party Ideas...

We have lots of family functions and parties throughout the year, but I think the easiest party to put together would be a breakfast or a brunch. My husband's brother and his family were visiting from New York for 2 weeks. They rent a beach house to enjoy the sunshine and weather of the summer. We see them several times while they are here, but we did have them over one morning for breakfast before they went to the beach for the day.

I snapped a few photos of the breakfast I set up, so you could steal a few ideas for your next get together. The ideas are quick and easy and most can be set up the night before.

Self serve buffet style is the best. Here's what I served...

  • fresh fruit
  • coffee cake
  • muffins
  • breads, bagels and English muffins
  • jams and jellies
  • pancake bar
  • scrambled eggs
  • bacon and sausage
  • yogurts
  • coffee and tea
  • milks and juices

DIY Disney Princess Party Favor Bags...

My family loves Disney World! It has been a special place to visit since my husband and I were first married 28 years ago. We have vacationed there many times since our daughters were little. It really is a magical place to visit.

Our daughter, Kelsie, has a special bond with Disney since she graduated from college last May. She worked there this past year with the Disney college internship program. She absolutely LOVED IT!! When she returned home this past January, she had lots of goodies that she bought for some of her friends who are still in school. This past weekend, there was a performance at the university and Kelsie wanted to give all the girls their Disney gifts. Kelsie wanted a special bag for all the presents and looked for inspiration on Pinterest. Here's our version made from felt and a Disney poster!!!

How to Make a Circle Garland...for any Party or Occasion

We have a new dentist who works in our office and she and I bonded right away with crafting and sewing!! Her son is turning one year old in a few weeks and she wanted to make a fabric garland for the party. She doesn't have a sewing machine, so I happily volunteered to make one. It was so easy and fun to make!!

Here it is hanging in my house...ready to go to the party!!

She also cut circles in burlap. Great combination!!

Card Party Casino Night Ideas…Glass Name Tag

Hi…I'm back again with another card party idea that I'm using for my dad's 90th birthday party. If you missed the first post for the playing card garland, you can click HERE.

Today's project is for a drinking glass name tag. Wine glasses or frozen drink glasses have stems on them which is the perfect spot to slip on a name tag. This helps your guests keep track of their own glass.

Playing Card Glass Tag…each guest remembers which playing card is theirs when they put their drink down!!

Ice Cream Party Ideas...

We had a few birthdays over the Easter weekend, so we celebrated them all on that Saturday before the holiday. A big pizza and ice cream party. Courtland turned 22 and my nephew Jacob turned 13 and his brother Caleb will be 9 in May. We celebrated his early while they were down from New York!

I made their favorite cakes…two chocolate, one strawberry and yellow cupcakes rounded out the selection!! The ice cream sundae bar was yummy too.
