I made their favorite cakes…two chocolate, one strawberry and yellow cupcakes rounded out the selection!! The ice cream sundae bar was yummy too.
Come on in for a few more ideas. Sorry for the dark photos. They are from my iPhone.
I buy these square glass containers every time is see them in thrift or consignment stores. They are great to hold an assortment of things.
The sundae topping bar included…
- m&m's
- crushed oreo cookies
- crushed chocolate chip cookies
- chopped walnuts
- toasted almonds
- mini chocolate chips
- snow cap candies
- chocolate jimmies
- and of course the cherry on the top!!
I labeled each container with little metal garden stakes. Just add serving spoons and you're good to go!!
I found this 3 section crock pot in the Walmart clearance section. It was only $19. The divided sections are perfect to keep the ice cream sauces warm.
- chocolate
- caramel
- marshmallow
This crock pot is also good for taco night (meat, cheeses and sauces), different sauces for pasta, or to keep different dishes warm for a dinner party.
A tall, glass trifle dish held all the ice cream cones!!
I used one of my big galvanized tubs to hold ice surrounding all the ice cream and mini cans of root beer.
Fill the tub with ice and it keeps the ice cream from melting for the length of the party.
Mini cans of root beer and vanilla ice cream…best drink ever!!
You can also use orange soda for orange creamsicles.
Hope you enjoyed the post. Thanks for coming to the party!!

We always have a lot of desserts at our family gatherings too, It sounds like you had a great party and a lot of fun. My problem is being left alone with leftovers. LOL

I've done the ice cream sundae bar too. Did it for Father's Day after having a grilled hot dog & brats bar. I also added chopped fresh fruit - strawberries & bananas. It's always a hit.
