Here's my solution…and yes I match the yellow ribbon to the yellow cleaning supplies. Couldn't help it!
I did buy one of those cheap plastic paper towel holders, but I thought it was a "stick on" kind. It was a screw in type and I just couldn't do it. You know me...changing things around so much and then being left with screw holes in the cabinets…aahhh
Here's the quick and easy solution…ribbon and two 3-M hooks.
I used the tiny clear hook.
Just thread the ribbon through the paper towel tube.
Then out the other end.
Take one end of the ribbon and loop it over, as shown below.
Loop the folded end over your finger, then slip that folded end of the ribbon into the loop you made over your finger.
Wow, that's a lot harder to describe than it it to do. lol
Pull tight.
Mount your hooks where the paper towel roll will fit on your cabinet door. Make sure the door will still close properly.
Hang the first loop you just made to one hook.
Take the other end of the ribbon and measure where this loop will need to hang on the other hook. Tie it off in the same manner.
Paper towels ready to go!! This also frees up space in the tiny cabinet.
To change the roll, just simply unhook one side, slide off the tube and slip the ribbon into the next new roll.
Easy peasy and cost next to nothing!!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou must have read my mind! I've been wanting to do something similar, but keep forgetting to buy a holder. Now I don't have to! Thanks, Karen!
ReplyDeleteI love this! So simple! I have the antique metal cabinets in my kitchen and didn't want to drill holes in them either. And I don't need another thing sitting on the counter. Thanks for this one!
ReplyDeleteWell, that is just beyond brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a wonderful idea
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea...thank you!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this. Just tossed my old paper towel holder. I went back and forth regarding a new one that would be fabulous to look at but take up much needed counter space. I found a couple to hang over the cabinet door but they don't show a view from the front so you can see what your cabinet would look like. Then...I found this! Love it! I am so excited that I can't wait to try this one out.
