I bought this wrought iron silverware caddy at a thrift store for $4.00. I love to use it for family parties or when I serve dinner buffet style.
Come on in and see…
Most silverware caddies have 3 spots for knives, forks and spoons and a bigger spot for napkins.
Great next to a stack of dinner plates for family functions.
Silverware separated on one side.
and napkins on the other side.
However, in the kitchen, it's much better for an organized office/message center.
Everyone is always leaving notes for different things…phone messages, lists, "don't forget" notes etc.
The napkin holder is for scrap paper and the silverware sections hold pens, pencils, stapler, scissors, eyeglasses.
Great in the kitchen for everyone to use or…
even on your regular office desk. Here's my desk before...
and after. Pretty and organized.
This caddy would work great for other things too…
- crafting
- sewing
- make-up
- hair brushes and hair products
- manicure center
- kid's coloring center for markers, crayons, pencils and rip out coloring book pages in the napkin slot
The possibilities are endless. So the next time you see a silverware caddy in the store or in a thrift store…pick it up. It's great for so many things!
Thanks for stopping by,
~Karen~
What a lovely find! I rarely get so lucky in second hand stores.
ReplyDeleteWhy do I never find things like this when I go thrift store shopping???? It's not only a great idea but it looks SO nice no matter where you put it or what you are using it for.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I think I have one JUST like that, that I don't use! New plan coming up....
