You can't even call it a recipe, because it really is just baking the grated cheese until they are melty and crisp.
One tip I read from Emily at Joyful Abode was to use parchment paper on your cookie sheet. I 100% agree. The cheese crisps just peel right off. Thanks Emily!
Arrange your little piles of cheese on the paper.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes.
They will be melty and brown on the edges.
Let them cool.
Peel off the paper.
I baked the second batch a minute or two longer to brown them more. Either way they are yummy…just your preference.
Great replacement for potato chips or mid-day snack.
You can grate your own cheese, but I had a bag of taco cheese left over, so it was perfect.
Enjoy!!

yuuuum thank you
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, we are Low Carbing and this will be great for snacks! I'll be cooking some up very soon.
ReplyDeleteWill try it! Thank you, Karen
ReplyDeleteJust the kind of recipe that I like - simple and delicious! Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm .... cheese ...... looking good!
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely wonderful and even better with Parmesan cheese.
ReplyDeleteTried these! Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteYum- I've made these with parmesan cheese but never a cheese blend- must try- I'm doing a gluten free experiment so these are a great alternative to crackers! :)
ReplyDeleteI make these stovetop using a non-stick griddle pan (spray with some non-stick spray). Heat it, then spoon a thin layer of cheese onto the pan. It cooks very quickly.
ReplyDeleteI am so making this tomorrow!! My kids are going to freak!!
ReplyDeleteI had a co worker that made something like this...she used parmesan cheese then slipped the crisp into a bowl of soup. Oh MY wait till you try that too ...so darn good! :)
ReplyDeleteThis could be very dangerous for me. Very, very dangerous.
ReplyDeleteOH lord these look way too good!
