I love canning jars. I use them for everything…organizing craft items, keeping foods in the refrigerator, storing baking supplies in my kitchen cupboard, pincushions and especially for gift giving. I have used canning jar to give gifts of homemade Irish Cream, cookies, fudge, homemade popcorn etc.
The food is the gift, but a cute container is a must!!
I usually cut a piece of fabric and use that to cover the jar, but this is so much faster.
Come on in and see…
Cupcakes have become very popular over the last few years and so have the cupcake liners. There are so many different designs and colors to chose from, it's crazy! You could actually select the perfect liner to match any holiday or occasion. I saw an idea on Pinterest where they use liners over an open canning jar to hold a drinking straw in place. This is just another idea.
This canning jar cover is so simple. Just select your liner and flatten it over the metal disc of the canning jar.
Then simply screw on the metal ring, keeping the paper flat and taught as you turn.
The normal size cupcake liners will fit canning jars with small openings.
Add a cute bow, a tag and your gift is ready to give in just a matter of seconds!!
This would make a great Valentine's gift for that special someone…teacher, friend, etc.
If you have the large mouth canning jars...
I thought a coffee filter would be perfect.
Same process.
Larger size...
Doesn't get any cuter!
Paper liners…fast and easy way to decorate any canning jars for any occasion.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, and since I'm a stamper, I could stamp some really cool images on the liner before putting it on the jar. Thanks or e great inspiration.

ReplyDeleteI love using Mason jars for everything! Storage, lighting, canning, gifts. We even use them as drinking glasses. All the drinking glasses I have ever bought have all broken. Mason jars rarely break!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea! Thank-you so much!
ReplyDeleteReally, really cute--doesn't even need the bow.
ReplyDeleteI've been using pieces of fabric like this for years, but never thought of cupcake liners or coffee filters - brilliant.
