A little bit ago, I had mentioned I had made a new friend with one of the ladies who works at our local Michael's Craft Store. I mentioned Lois' name in a post.
Well, there was more to the story of meeting her that I didn't tell you and the story gets better after that...
When I was at the register that day at Michael's, I was chatting with the 2 ladies who worked there. When one the women, who was helping me, asked for my email address to send me coupons, I started to say the address...sew many ways at gmail... Well, Lois recognized my blog name and was explaining to the other person that she reads my posts all the time and was telling her about all the things on my blog.
For me, it was the first time someone recognized my blog in public and I was tickled pink! I could feel my face getting hot and I was fumbling with my debit card in the machine. I actually punched in the wrong pin number and had to start all over again. It was so funny to me, because I am definitely a "behind the scenes" person. I must admit though, I ran home and told my whole family what happened!
Fast forward to two weeks later and the quilt shows I shared with you last week. One of the shows, The Silver City Quilt Show in Taunton Massachusetts, had lots and lots of vendors.
Guess who was there as one of the vendors...Lois and her friend Shari. Such a small world. It gets even better. Lois is friends with Tina, Ellie and Erin, the ladies I went to the quilt show with. Then it all clicked, I recognized Lois from when she worked at a local quilt shop years ago. So many coincidences.
How can I not share their little shop with you!
Lois and Shari have a wonderful business called Kindred Quilters filled with great patterns, supplies and ideas.

This was their beautiful display at the show.
They've designed so many great patterns and have all the accessories to go with the patterns.
I just love this bag...
Perfect Knitting Tote, but you could use this bag for anything.
This bag is fantastic.
It has 46 pockets!! Now that's a bag for me...
This pattern is adorable. It's their "Take Me to Lunch" set.
The pattern is a sandwich wrap in 2 sizes and a snack bag also in 2 sizes.
This bag pattern is just the cutest. Lots of pockets on one side...
and more pockets and a zippered pocket on the other.
The inside is just as beautiful.
Tons of pockets and I love how they used all the different fabrics for each section.
I loved it so much, I bought the pattern and the hardware to go with it.
My daughters are going to love this.
Here are all the links to Lois and Shari's sites. I hope you will enjoy looking through all their great patterns.

ReplyDeleteDelightful story. I am originally from that area and love to hear about local successes, esp. in a place like Taunton!! I used to work with a Lois in local quilt store many years ago and thought it might be her, but no. I'm very excited for these ladies and will peruse their site when I have more time. Thanks for sharing this story. I pass through for a couple of weeks twice a year.
