A quick, almost no sew pillow
Earlier this year, I did a tutorial about making lined drapes for Courtney's room from a duvet cover. You can click HERE for the curtain tutorial.
This is the package the duvet cover came in...a fabric bag.
This is a pouch type bag. Some sheet sets come in fabric bags like this too. This one has 2 cute buttons on the side!!
A bag already sewn....hmmm, what to make with this?
Easy peasy pillow. Just stuff it.
Pin the opening closed.
Then do a whip stitch to close the opening. You can make it NO sew by hot gluing it or using iron on tape.
All done, but it needs something...maybe a ribbon.
or some buttons for decoration.
or a cute big silk flower pinned on.
This will be a cute addition to Courtney's room...click HERE to see Courtney's room re-do if you missed it.
These little pillows are great for your neck while resting on the couch, back support in a chair or for the kids in the car.
Spread the word with friends and family to save the fabric bags when they buy new sheets or bedding.
Have a great day,
~Karen~
This is a fantastic idea....how many of those bags have I throw away. Love the buttons and flower.
ReplyDeleteI have saved a couple of those bags. I was thinking they would make an easy purse lining. Pillows is GOOD!! Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteClever ! I have oodles of these bags.
ReplyDeleteJust cannot bring myself to throw them out !

What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! Good way to recycle those cloth bags!
ReplyDeleteI knew I saved those bags for something! Thanks for sharing this great idea.
ReplyDeleteThey make a great bag for ice/hot packs too. Fill with rice or beans or whatever the tutorials say.
ReplyDeleteA pillow pack with a purpose. Great for a gift pack or first aid kits for athletes or to keep in the car.
This is a brilliant idea!!!
