I am THE cookie baker to those that know me....well my sister, Amanda, is pretty good.... anyway, my favorite are my Kitchen Sink Cookies. Everything BUT the kitchen sink! Nuts, chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, craisins, coconut, oatmeal, butterscotch chips....These are very popular!
Yes, oatmeal raisin or those giant super soft iced sugar cookies that they sell in the bakery section at the grocery. So sweet they make me sick every time but I alsways eat them.
There is an Italian Bakery here in Philadelphia called Isgro's. The family has been making cakes, cookies and pastries for 100 years. They still use the same exact recipes as the grandfather and never changed them. Biting into one of there cookies is like stepping back in time. My favorite cookie is an almond paste cookie called an amaretto with pignoli nuts. What it is, is an almond paste and sugar macaroon with pine nuts on top. It's a Sicilian favorite!
I love love love the peanut butter cookies with the hershey's kiss. Yum.
And I just found your blog and you really must come to my house and help me organize!!! :) Was just looking over all your organization tips. Great tips for storage! Now come to Indiana and help me do it!
sour cream softies, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip, chocolate crinkle, shortbread, peanut butter blossoms, sugar, the list could go on and on! Where to begin picking a favorite? Can't be done! One of each please!
Oatmeal raisin is good, but if we are talking favorite I have to go with chocolate chip cookies that are packed with chips and nuts. I also like them with the oatmeal too. In the Fall, which we are now starting Gingersnaps from my mom's recipe are the best.
Immaculate Baking Ginger Cookies!!!!!!!!!! I made 2 dozen of them the other day. My husband ate 4 of them.....They are all gone....I'll leave the math to you! :)
I love loaded chocolate chip cookies, lots of chocolate chips, white and dark , nuts, a bit of whole wheat flour and some flax meal, oh and some peanut butter!!!
I started out to make Oatmeal Raisin once, and found I didn't have any raisins. What to do... I did have an envelope of dried fruit mix, and used that. My SIL said they were the best cookies he'd ever eaten! (At the time he was a professional cook! Good for my ego. Did I tell you he is my favorite SIL? Did I tell you he is my only SIL?) Hugs,
I'm with AnnieO - molasses cookies. If I make them, my husband doesn't like them, so they all end up eaten by me. My thighs don't appreciate that one little bit.
Is there another kind of cookie? Try the ones at McDonald's they're 3 for a dollar and you're not tempted to eat the three dozen that you would have made at home.
I totally agree with you - Oatmeal raisin. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in the family that likes them so I never make them because that would mean I would have to eat them ALL.
Oatmeal raisin or molasses or snickerdoodle or Whoppers cookies or a good peanut butter cookie...I can tolerate a choc chip, but they really aren't anywhere near the top of favorites.
I love most cookies fresh from the oven, but not oatmeal raisin. Just do not like raisins in my cookies. Also potato chip, but that was a long time ago, and since I'm much more sophisticated now (LOL), I might like them!
Double chocolate chip.....I'm a chocolate lover all the way through! xx
ReplyDeleteI love Oatmeal Raisin but I also love Peanut Butter. With Homemade Peacan Sandies close behind.
