... and the same thing happens at MY house with the Mon Cheri chocolate bonbons? The whole box suddenly disappeared while I was cooking... Jana in Prague, Czech Republic
Can you get a witness!?!? Can you get a thousand witnesses!!??! LOL Color me one of the pod people. I could probably eat two boxes, especially if I have some Pepsi and could burp to make room for more! LOL It's once a year, honey! Be FREE! Blessings, Mary Lou
Dang it! We don't have any girl scouts in our area anymore....and they don't sit in front of the grocery, cuz we still have snow out there! What the.....? Where am I supposed to get my Thin Mint fix from!?! Sheesh!
I totally understand how that can happen. And, seriously, no one should ever buy as many boxes of those little "demons" as you do if you are purchasing them from granddaughters. LOL!!!
Really like the idea of using the hanging toiletry caddy for holding supplies. CAS
I am just laughing!! That is so funny. My sister used to get up in the night, eat the WHOLE box and the next day didn't remember a THING!!! he he Thanks for reminding me so I can remind her. SHE will just die.
you can do it with Thin Mints too, but it you freeze them first it takes a little longer and you burn more calories as more chewing and your body has to warm them up.
I think the manufacturers need to dispense with the plastic tray so it isn't apparent how many cookies have been eaten so quickly. I feel so guilty when I happen to notice the empty spaces in the cookie tray and I had only opened the box within the hour. I also feel that more cookies could fit into the box if there wasn't a tray. So what if the cookies should stick together, I would still eat them.
Hmm, we've experienced that in the past in our house. No GSC for us this year, though.
True story: Caramel Delights are my fave, and hubby knows not to touch them. A few years ago I had bought a box from a friend at work, and left the box on the dining chair. The next morning I found the box opened and the cookies gone. Guess who did it?! The dog, of course. And would you know, that little stinker never got sick. Amazing for a pomeranian. I guess that just proves that he was my dog after all.
I saw a post somewhere online this week that says "Unless your selling THIN MINTS, no soliciting." on their fron door in vinyl. It made me want to make that sign and run out and eat about 3 boxes... :)
I used to be able to purchase enough cookes to freeze until I could buy them again the following year...I prefer the Do di dos,and Thin Mints...and with so few in the boxes now it is real easy to finish the box...But if you do run out and can not get any if you have a Family Dollar stoe near you they have copy cat cookies at half the price...and just as good...
Oh yeah, those are my favorite. I had to snub the cute little girl scouts at the grocery store.
ReplyDeletedid you know that the same thing happens at my house with the Thin Mints......odd, huh?

ReplyDeleteDon't ask...don't tell...I say!
ReplyDeleteI bet they were awfully good...as they went down!!!!
Oh, yes...and one can also eat a whole box of GS Thin Mints in one sitting by herself, too. (And I'm sure you don't NEED to ask how I know that!)
ReplyDeleteI am just laughing!! That is so funny. My sister used to get up in the night, eat the WHOLE box and the next day didn't remember a THING!!! he he

ReplyDeleteOh yes! BTDT.
ReplyDeleteYes! Those sneaky Girl Scout cookies just disappear! i think they are putting fewer in the packages. That's my story.

ReplyDeleteOr, almost a entire bag of M&M? You're never alone with this one - have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteI don't have to ask. :D Those are my favorite and I completely understand how it can happen, especially if I've got my nose in a good book.
ReplyDeleteI do that with Tim Tams....that's why I do my very best to avoid them....there is no recommended dose on the side of the package....I O'D everytime.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be ok soon.
Smiles,
Kelly
Only ONE box??? Now if only I could figure out how to keep the bathroom scale quiet about it.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I tell people I am alergic to them.
