Hi everyone! Here's an idea to use cardboard magazine holders to organize bows and ribbon that you would use for gift wrapping.
I use a china hutch, that I moved from another room, for a gift wrapping center in my sewing room. I'll post more about the whole unit later, but wanted to share this one idea to use a cardboard magazine holder to organize curly ribbons and bows.
Come on in to see...
I had these boxes in my sewing room filled with quilting magazines, but the magazines are in a different place now. I thought the holders would be great for all those bows I buy at the after holiday sales.
Keeps all the same colors together and easy to see and grab!!
The magazine holders also have these finger holes to grab the box off the shelf.
I thought it would be great to put the rolls of curling ribbon in the box first and dispense it through the hole!!
Curling ribbon in the same box of matching bow!!
I bought my magazine holders on sale at Staples, but I also did a post back in 2009 about how to make your own out of cereal boxes...
This is one of the boxes I made from a sugar frosted flake box.

I hope you liked this idea and you can use it some where in your home too. Great for a closet, hutch, or on a shelf somewhere.
Thanks for stopping by,
~Karen~

Listen to me, I am so glad you are back and posting all your great ideas. You have a creative mind and spirit that inspires me to stretch my own. Thank you, I really like this idea. I went to IKEA last week to pick up my favorite cardboard holders and they were no where to be found. The cereal boxes will be my go-to. Spring is on the way and I like to have all these little jobs done before then.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous idea!!! I need to set up a gift wrapping station in my room as well. Thanks for the ideas!!

I love how pretty these look!

ReplyDeleteI love everthing you share you keep me organized. Thank you for your time.
ReplyDeleteI think you are amazing for constantly repurposing furniture and storage items. Well done, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou are a woman after my own heart! I could spend hours organizing and trying or making new storage ideas, but then I get nothing actually made, craft/sewing wise. I really want to do this, but I'd have to buy more ribbons and bows to do it justice. ;-) which would kind of defeat all the cleaning out and purging I've been doing...sigh. Thanks for all your ideas!
