Here is some of the wood the tree service cut into chunks. My husband sees fire wood…
I see stump seating around a fire pit!!
I made little pillows for reach one too.
Come on in and I'll show an easy way to make the pillows.
You could just sit on the stump for seating in the back yard, campfire or fire pit...
but why not have a comfy pillow.
Start with the largest tree stump first!!
Cut it out.
A long time ago, I saved fabric that I trimmed away from hemming curtains. I knew this would be used some day!
Place the template on the fabric.
I eye balled a half inch seam allowance around the entire template. This is for stumps, so nothing has to be exact.
Pin the pillow form together.
Sew 1/2 inch seam all the way around.
Leave an opening for stuffing.
Fill with fiber fill.
Sew opening closed.
I sewed all 7 pillows in less than an hour.
The next few projects for this area may be a stone or mulch pit area for the fire pit, new cushions for the couch and chars in the background and I want to spray paint the fire pit with black wood stove spray paint to give it a whole new look.
I'll share those projects as I check them off the "to do" list.
Thanks for stopping by,
