Key Lime Fluff…
This recipe goes together quickly and taste great!!
Key Lime Fluff
one (.3 oz) box sugar free lime flavored Jell-o
1/4 cup boiling water
2 (6 oz) containers light key lime yogurt. I used Yoplait because it had zero fat.
one (8 oz) container fat free cool whip
Dissolve Jell-o in the 1/4 cup boiling water. Blend in yogurt. Fold in the container of whipped topping and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
I divided the mixture into pre-measured dishes to control how much I'm eating. You can also put it in a pie shell or just serve it in one big bowl, if you prefer.
Calorie Info…
The whipped topping I used was 500 calories for the whole container with zero fat. (20 calories for 2 tablespoons with 25 servings per container)
The Jell-o is 40 calories for the whole package.
Here is the info for the yogurt. There are 90 calories for each one (180 total for this recipe) with the added benefit of vitamin A and D and calcium.
The total calories for everything is 720. If you divided it up into 8 servings, like it was a pie, that's only 90 calories a dish!
This is from a recipe I found here.
Enjoy!!

Karen, you're so good at blogging stuff, I'm turning to you. Maybe you can point me in the right direction to make a button for my blog. I have looked at PicMonkey, but I just don't know how to proceed. Do you know anywhere that has directions written out?

ReplyDeleteOh, Karen...What a GREAT post. I grew up in Palm Beach, Florida, and we had a wonderful key lime tree in our back yard. My entire family LOVES anything lime pieish. Wait until I send this to my son in Seattle. He will be so excited for a new recipe. Thanks SO MUCH for sharing. Hot 5 inches of snow today so quilted all day:-)
ReplyDeleteLove key lime, simple and tasty!
