This week is Question and Answer Day...
If you're new to the Question and Answer post, it's very simple...ask a question (any question at all) and my wonderful readers from all over the world will answer it for you!! Another reason why I love blogging...so many people willing to help and share their thoughts!!
Thanks to everyone who asks and for all who answer. I LOVE IT!!
Just ask a question in the comment section. Anyone who reads my blog from all over the world, can answer that question by clicking in the "REPLY " button under THAT specific question.
There are so many helpful people in the world who can share so much...some have blogs, and some do not. I thought this would be the perfect solution for everyone to ask any question and then we can all help!!
Just an FYI...when you are clicking "reply" in any blog comment format, you are not "replying" directly to that person's email address. You are just replying on my blog under the question, so everyone has to return here to see the answers.
Ask questions about cooking, recipes, crafting, sewing, blogging, photography, vacations in other countries or states, decorating, families, babies...anything goes.
Here's how it will work...
- post your question in the comment section
- everyone will read the question
- if someone has a helpful answer, that person will click the "REPLY" button right under that particular question and post the answer!!
- that way everyone can read the answer too!!
- this is helpful for some who don't like to share their email address or who are "no replies" and there isn't an email address to respond to
- just come back to this post to see if your question has been answered!!
If you'd like to read the other Q and A post we've had over the weeks, you can click the Q and A link in the labels section. Today's post will be the first one you'll see, but scroll down for the others.
Have a great day everyone,
~Karen~
Please can anyone help with the link to any tutorial for a simple cowl neck top or dress? (Thinking of a weekend sewing project)
ReplyDeleteThank you.

DeleteWhere do I change the setting on Blogger to only send a partial blog post in the email instead of the whole post?
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance,
Nancy
So i am understanding that you only want a short summary of your blog feed to be emailed to your subscribers right?
DeleteIn blogger, go to Settings, then Other, under Site Feed, Allow Blog Feed option, you probably have it in Full, change it to anything that fits you.
Blogger's feed options:
Select Full to syndicate the entire contents of your post. Select Until Jump Break to show all post content before your jump break. Select Short to syndicate approximately the first 400 characters.
Thanks Mandy, I have wondered about that myself so I changed it thanks to you :)
DeleteThat was actually me Mandy, Thanks so much! Fixed and ready to roll!
DeleteConnie and Nancy,
DeleteI am so glad i could help!
:)
Hello, blogger friends! My question is, after google reader disappears, where are the majority going? Are you planning on Bloglovin, Feedly, or what other choices? I don't have a blog but, I still like to keep up with my favorites, that I read daily. Is there a list of compareables? Thanks for all your help. ;-> Toni Anne
ReplyDeleteI am using bloglovin the most, but i also use networkedblogs.
DeleteI too do not have my own blog but I do like to access my favorite blogs daily. I was able to move all my favorites from Google over to Bloglovin without any problems. Just go to Bloglovin and they prompt you through uploading all your favorites.
DeleteI've used Feedly for about 3 months - since I discovered Google reader is going away. So far, I like it better than Google reader. There were a few blogs I followed that Google reader kept 'losing'. Not so with Feedly. I also like the organization features.
DeleteI've also moved to Feedly and really enjoying it, the only thing I don't like is the lack of user stats. I used to review my stats and stop following feeds I didn't read.
DeleteHello, hope someone can help with a Blogger related question please! I have noticed on some blogs that when you leave a comment there is a tick box to 'send follow up comments by email'.
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to add this to our blog, so that people can opt to see our replies to their comments. Any idea of how to add this option to our comment settings?!
Thanks, Sian

Blogger already has this in our comment section, it's that link that says "Subscribe by Email" right under the comment box. If your readers are using google sign in to comment, they will already see the option to subscribe to the comments.
DeleteSee this photo of your blog post's comment section, the circled part is already the comment subscription link.

Aah I see! That's really helpful, thanks very much Mandy :) x
DeleteI have been asked to add the Email subscription to my blog. Will be using feedburner but need some help getting it set up. Thanks...
ReplyDeletewhen u log on to your feedburner, go to My Feeds on top right corner, click on your blog, then click the "publicize" tab, click "email subscriptions" on the left sidebar, click the "Activate" button and then follow the instructions! :)
DeleteCan anyone tell me what would be the best photo app to download on my iPad 4. I would like to download pictures from my camera, edit and post on my blog. Currently I am downloading, editing and posting pictures on my laptop. I would like to do it all on my iPad. Any suggestions?
DeleteI an trying to attach a link to a free pattern into a blog post. Does anyone know how to do this? It is a pattern of mine that I have typed up in Word. Thanks for any help :)
ReplyDeleteIf you have in it Word and if you want to "link" it in your blog, you might want to make that document into a PDF, then upload to your blog post. if you dont know about making a PDF, you can always save that document as a jpg and upload to your blog post that way
DeleteYou have a lovely blog site with lots going on, but I searched and could not find any hand quilting (Celebrate Hand Quilting). Nice to visit your blog.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering if there is anyone that knows how to get Chapstick "grease" out of clothes..The chapstick was washed with clothes and dried and there are "grease" spots on some of the clothing..Is there a way or is there a shopping trip in the near future : )
ReplyDeletewww.katscreations4u.blogspot.com
I don't know if this will work, but maybe worth a try...
DeleteYou need something to absorb the grease, but first you'll have to try melting it. This has worked for me with wax. Put some brown paper over the spots and then iron over it, hopefully the heat will melt the chapstick and the paper will absorb it (and stop it going on the iron).
I have spent a few hours this morning trying to get feedburner on my blog with NO results. When I add the url to my blog it said it is not valid. I have tried the settings on the basic post feed redirect and also on the layout as a gadet with no results.
ReplyDeleteI think I added my feedburner email link through a widget in bloggers sidebar. Is that where you're having troubles?
DeleteFeedburner generates a gadget for you in your "my feeds" section already. look for that and add to your sidebar
DeleteHere's my question -- where does the word BLOG come from? How did it originate? I know a "log" is like a journal (I keep thinking of Star Trek and the Captain's Log) but I'm wondering where/how the B ended up in front of "log"? Anyone know? :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a shortened version of "weblog" or "web log". You're kinda right to think of the Captain's Log :-)
DeleteAbout how the "b" came to be included - how else would it be shortened, do you think? Just plain "log" can mean too many things. "webl" (weeble?) isn't easy to spell or say without assistance ;-) "Misled", "hors d’oeuvres", "paradigm" all spring to mind as words read but often pronounced incorrectly.
