Block of the Month Update...

Hi everyone! I just wanted to post a little update for our Block of the Month Club. If you are new here, you can click HERE to see the first post and all the details.
From viewer requests, I made a little button you can grab, if you'd like. There is also a button on the side that links to the whole Block of the Month series as we get into it more.
To add the button, just go to your dashboard, click layout, add gadget, then copy and past the code into the HTLM gadget. Then click save!

I also wanted to share some examples of the Bow Tie block we're making for February. I made a few in different styles so you can see what different materials might look like.

This is the initial block I made with mostly Moda fabric. I love the 3 Sister designers or anything that looks like that.

This is scrappy Civil War reproduction fabric we had left over from a school project my daughter did a few years ago. She made the Underground Rail road quilt.

This is the block with 1930's reproduction fabric. Scrappy look too.

This is a look if you used just 2 fabrics...background fabric and your print fabric.

This is mostly Thimbleberrries fabric I've had in my stash for years. This will be a great Primitive style quilt.

Another request was for a Flickr group so we can all share the blocks of the months we've made. This is my first time opening a Flickr group, so we''ll see if this works for all of us.

Click HERE for the Flickr Group the link....let me know if I did that right! LOL

Happy Sewing,

  2. Somehow I missed this post, Karen. Will do my Bowtie block in a day or two. DD and I will be flying out Wednesday to the Puyallup, WA Sew Expo so it may when we return.
Thank you for hosting this BOM. You're always so wonderful.
