Thoughts on Thursday...

I laugh every time I read this...because it's so true!

I've done this leaving for work, early in the morning walking down our front walkway with bushes on both sides. Those little buggers spread their webs across the walkway.

A few quick karate moves at 7:00 am in the morning definitely wakes you up...and then you drive to work thinking there's a spider in your hair!!

True story was yesterday driving to work and one was crawling on my neck...I was a driving ninja!! Called my husband crying. (not really crying,  just that voice of OMG there was a spider on my neck) Like he was going to drive the 30 miles to where I was and kill it!! Lol

I HATE spiders...

Happy Thursday,
~Karen~

  1. I called my husband in a panic a few weeks ago because a month had gotten into my car with me, it was a long traumatic drive home :) I don't like Bugs of any kind ... lately I've been seeing huge (2-3 inch) beetles with pincers on the front. The scary part is that I live in Minnesota!

  2. Ditto! Hubby had to kill 2 in our livingroom last night! Just wait until September time, when its spider mating season and all the males are chasing after the massive females.......thats when things get lively! Yuck......I hate the wee buggers. Its making my skin crawl just thinking about them so I have to stop typing this, heehe. Lee x

    Ps.....recent new follower....woowhoo!

  3. Ooooh, I hate spiders, too. And the problem is, we're living right at the town wall and that means lots of spiders around the house (and in the house.... a nightmare!) Basically I have to get rid of spiders' webs every day :( wish I had known that before we moved in....

  4. Brilliant and totally understand as I hate them too. I can deal with the little spindly ones in the house but when spiders suddenly appear on me without me being prepared, I'm off like a shot and screaming like a banshee. Sam xx

  6. I too am scared of spiders but as my DB has a deep rooted phobia I have to deal with them. I find that the vacuum cleaner with its longest extension works well in the house. I have cans of repellent dotted around also.

  7. Spider on your neck? I would have wrecked the car! The very thought makes me want to scream just a little bit...

  8. This is brilliant. I did this in the middle of the Borneo jungle (a place I will not be visiting again due to my fear of all things bug like - bit of a stupid idea going in the first place to be honest) but thought I had a massive poisonous spider or something on me...I did more than Karate chop I ended up stripping off to make sure it wasn't on me...the rest of the people in the grup thought it was just funny! :-/

  9. I can relate so well to this! I HATE spiders! My dh even tells me I have that "come kill the spider" sound when I find one! We moved in January and we have more spiders here than in the 20 years I lived in our other home!

  11. RAID has a great spider control spray. I HATE the creepy, crawly things! I almost have convulsions when I even step on an already dead one!! I've had spiders here especially in the Spring, WHY do they like to come inside when they have a vast outdoor area to roam. I got a big jug, with auto spray, of the Raid Spider Control and it works great...I spray around the outside edge of the walls inside, then go out and spray around the house, what creepy things do try to come in, die really quick!!

  12. Karen I'm laughing out loud at this post because I do the exact same thing! There is nothing worse than having a spider on you in the car though...especially when you lose site of it and then "feel" like it is crawling all over you...AHHHHH!!!
Glad to know I'm not the only one :-)

  13. So the consensus is we all hate all things creepy crawly! As I got into our car the other day my hubby told me there was a FROG in the door well when he got in. "Don't worry tho, I THINK it jumped out !" Although it had nothing to do with the frog, I was delighted when said hubby came home yesterday with a new car ! ! ! Karen, I can't say how much I love your blog !

  14. I have done this; but, I don't hate spiders. I often will laugh at myself for my reaction. What makes me go crazy and into a panic induced frenzy are the roaches. Seriously. Can't stand them things. I can't even approach them even knowing that they're dead! LOL. :-)

  15. Karen, this made me laugh out loud! I would have wrecked the car if it had gotten on me. I don't like any bugs and I have almost run over one of the children trying to get away from one.

  19. I'm with you on the spider hating. I can't even look at pictures of them. One night I opened the front door to put the trash out on the curb and there was a massive web with a big ol' spider right across the doorway. I shut the door and thought, "what do I do now? I can't ever use the front door again." I went out the slider in the back and saw that my next door neighbor's light was on so got him to come deal with it.

I just visited my parents. Have to do spider patrol before getting in the shower. The first day there was a big black one. I screamed and left the room, mom got the spray to slow it down and dad came in for the kill.
