We found that show during the marathon on New Year's Eve! I love it. I think the writing is so fresh and funny. My other "not to be missed" show is the new Hawaii 5-0. We live in Hawaii and several of my friends have been extras. It is just fun to see places we go.
What's my favorite? THAT IS MY FAVORITE!!!! My hubby and I love that show. My sister just went to the New Orlean's version of ComicCon and took a picture of a shirt with Soft Kitty on it!
I don't watch a lot of tv, but The Big Bang is definitely my favourite. Such great writing and I have at least one big belly laugh every time I watch... So good.
I have been watching The Big Bang Theory for a long time now and love it!!!!! Try to watch the old seasons, you will have a good laugh. I also watch CSI, Law and Order.....and if Friends is on I still watch that one too. Never get tired.
The Big Bang is one of our favorites. If you are new to it, you really need to watch earlier episodes from previous years. My favorite show this year is REVENGE on Wednesday evenings.
It's now my favorite show and makes me laugh out loud. I know it has been around awhile, but I just discovered it about a month ago. I try not to get caught up in TV too much, but this show is worth it.
I've loved that show since it began - I never thought a half hour sitcom could take topics like Schrodinger's cat and make them amusing. I watch that, How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds (best drama on TV, IMO) and Hoarders on A&E. That's pretty much all.
BBT is hilarious (and as a math/computer nerd myself, it often hits home, lol)! Also love Terra Nova, Once Upon A Time, Castle, and Dancing With the Stars.
After reading the comments, I need to check that show out! I love nerdy things but we don't watch much TV. Since my kids got Kindles the TV goes on even less than it did for video games! My guilty pleasure at the moment is the author Jim Butcher. My husband and daughter insisted I listen to the audiobooks for the Dresden Files so I've listened to that, awesome nerdy urban fantasy, and moved on to his Codex Alera series. I've loved them both & listen to them while I work or sew.
WE love that show , I can even watch the reruns over and over. The newest comedy with Tim Allen .. Last Man Standing is a funny comedy ..like Tool Time , but he has daughters in this one instead of boys.
have been watching that one for years. We all love it. Sometimes I watch an episode more then once as the jokes are so great. We also like "Raising Hope" on Tuesday nights
Oh yes! Big Bang Theory! We have watched for a couple of years and are now catching some of the older reruns. We look forward to new episodes on Thursday nights. We, as a couple, also like Mike and Molly and Rules of Engagement. Toni
We LOVE that show, along with Mike & Molly and Modern Family. If we aren't going to be home, we record them so we can all watch together. Something about being able to watch the shows with your kid in High School is pretty cool.
P.S. I took your advise & have started a blog (still in progress) I'll send you a link later so you can help me :) haha
The Big Bang Theory keeps me in stitches. Sheldon is so funny. I love to hear him talk about his MeMaw and the also the fact that he doesn't understand sarcasm or chit chat.
I don't watch much television (too busy with lots of projects!), but my daughter got me hooked on "Downton Abbey". I really love the clothes they wear on that show!
I used to laugh at Sheldon and his sweet spot on the couch, till my husband recently bought home friends I had never met he ushered them in to the lounge told them to sit anywhere while he fetched me. Do you know how unhappy I was to find the man sitting in my sweet spot and how uncomfortable I felt in my own loungeroom !! I now feel for Sheldon LOL
WE LOVE the show. But I wonder if the Sheldon character is on the Autism Spectrum or Aspergers. He has all the behaviors associated with the Autism Spectrum and Aspergers.
Boy, am I out of the loop. I've never seen Big Bang, nor 90% of the other programs listed here. My favorites are Project Runway, Mad Men, and the gritty British soap EastEnders. Princess Di used to watch that, so if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me!
Penny, Penny, Penny, Penny. Love Big Bang Theory. We've watched it since the first show. Love Mike and Molly too. His mother is the funniest thing on t.v.
Just a thought from a previously non-puritanical television viewer; How I Met Your Mother might open up discussions about things you may not want to explain yet to young children. It's a funny show but it needs to be a 9:00pm show. The Big Bang Theory will make me laugh no matter what. February 2 episode was the weakest I've seen in years. The Middle and Modern Family are close to as funny but nothing will ever beat Big Bang!
I love Psych! If you haven't watched it before it is old style comedy with stupid fun and definitely does not try to be cool or take itself too seriously. And the jokes with all the pop culture references are great. BTW You were one of the very first blogs I followed back in July 2010 when I was a reborn quilter. I made your apron pattern and followed along with your studio organization projects as I was scraping wall paper, painting selling mattresses and setting up a sewing studio. And unpacking faric and tools I had not seen in ten years. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love that show! It is definitely one of our favorites.
ReplyDeleteWe love that show! My two boys just spontaneously dance when they hear the theme song. They're hilarious!
ReplyDeleteDid you know about Sheldon's song?
Soft kitty
Warm kitty
Little ball of fur
Happy kitty
Sleepy kitty
purr purr purr...
We watch it every night! "How I Met Your Mother" is another good one for us.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, that is the best comedy on TV, anywhere. Even the reruns are hilarious, LOVE that show.

Big Bang is certainly a great show! A few of my favorites are NCIS + NCIS LA, Project Runway and Mad Men.
ReplyDeleteLong time favorites are NCIS and The Closer - but more recently have been hilarified by Portlandia!

ReplyDeleteNot only I, but my husband loves it. He thinks Sheldon is a great actor. I have so many shows I love, but a current, new show is Grimm.
ReplyDeleteBBT is an acquired taste... like the Office, (which my hubby hates both :() White Collar, NCIS, The Mentalist those are our shows.
ReplyDeleteI love BBT too! My very favorite sitcom though is The Middle!
