Do you ever wonder how someone chooses a blog name? I'm thinking most of the time people select a blog name because it has some personal significance to them. We all reach for something that touches inside...a special family name, special place, where we live, a family member, family history, our special hobby or interest, a pet's name etc.
Choosing a blog name may not be the most important thing, but it sure does bring visitors to your blog. That's the first thing they read that peeks their curiosity about what inside your blogging world. Does the title of your blog really matter...the content is what keeps people coming back for a visit. However, they did need to make that first click to come in for a looksee.
Sew Many Ways...why did I name it that?
Sew... sewing is my most favorite hobby. Although, I hang my head in shame, I haven't sewn or quilted in a while...blogging has taken over. That is my New Year's resolution though...to get back to my sewing machine.
Many...many interests, many hobbies, many blessing
Ways...this where my blog name becomes extra special for me! Way is my last name
Sew Many Ways to sew, create, make friends, blog, have fun, cook, thrift, recycle, craft, decorate etc
Ok...now it's YOUR turn to share.
What's the significance of your blog name? Share with us the reason for your blog title...helps to get to know you better.
Have a great day,
~Karen~
Well, I ripped my blog name off a Tom Cruise movie - but changed it to reflect I'm living in France. I'm a big fan of puns/word play so it suits me to a T. I love how yours works on so many levels - very clever!
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is Sew'n Wild Oaks. My husband came up with the idea. I'm the SEW'N with my line of quilt patterns. Our last name is Wilder...so we just shortened it a bit to WILD. The OAKS pertains to my husband's hobby of making items out of recycled wine barrels. So there you have it....Sew'n Wild Oaks.
ReplyDeleteI have a teeny blog (My SIL and daughter are my readers...LOL, see teeny!) but I love the name. It is Suz Made Me Do It. Suz (Suzanne) is my sister in law. They used to live 30ish minutes from us and she was constantly trying to get me to learn to quilt. I was absolutely convinced I couldn't (how can you quilt when you can barely turn on the sewing machine and when you can you can't sew a straight line?)Years go by, they move 1,900+ miles away. I decide (almost instantly) I want to learn (I know)At any rate, she "made me do it", then she started on how I needed a blog, well, eventually I started a teeny (very sporadic) blog, so, since "Suz Made Me Do It" there just didn't seem to be any other name! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
ReplyDeleteGood question, Karen! Mine is "Jerusalem Notes: Fiberwork by Debbie". Fiberwork covers the different types of things I do, quilting, embroidery, crochet, knitting, etc. Jerusalem is where I live. Jerusalem Notes:, emphasis on the colon here, was in case I decide to start another blog on a different subject. It would be "Jerusalem Notes: [Other blog name]". It's been three years and, so far, there is no other blog, LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy Blog is Phoenix Heirlooms - Phoenix because I was an Occupational Therapist for over 30 year and the bird represented our aim to help people after illness or with disabilities to regain independence after adversity - and it represented a new begiining for me in retirement. Heirlooms because I wanted to make things which would be treasured by my family and friends and remind them of me.
ReplyDeletei started my blog, JOYfilled family, in 2009. it was part of my Lenten activities. the name was an extension of who we are and what we strive to be. my family's devotion to Bl. Mother Teresa has led us on a journey to experience the fullness of true JOY. we strive to radiate the JOY of Christ in everything we do.
ReplyDeleteI am a designer who loves to write, so I wanted something the basically said "words and pictures" - I came up with Posts & Pixels - with the tagline words and images about faith, life and lovely design. =)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the different names of blogs and always wondered how and why they came about. I wanted my name of mine AppleHead Threads to reflect my love for my little friend Baby, my 8 year old applehead chihuahua, and my sewing. She is always in the sewing room with me and some of my threads I cut off end up on top of her as she lays right under my thread catcher! = )
ReplyDeleteAfter the third name change, I was getting desperate for a name. I like the group Sugarland, so Sugarland Quilts. Little did I know that there is a Sugar Land, Texas and a quilt shop there called Sugar Land Quilts.
ReplyDeleteMine is "With Thread In Hand" because I do hand embroidery and sewing... I would like to always have some thread in my hand...
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog name and I think it is perfect. My blog name is where I live, not too inspired but I do love saying "tot, like tater tot."
Well this is an easy one. I love antiques, primitives, and country style. When I did lots of craft shows we did them in all seasons and I created pieces that usually had some seasonal appeal. So....Primitive Seasons!
ReplyDeleteMary
well when I first started blogging I wanted to be a little bit private, (weird I know). so I chose my auntie name "Lala" and then I needed a descriptive word so I chose Lovelys. thus came the blog name of Lala's Lovelys. Lately I have been thinking about a name change so my blog reflects something about quilting.,..maybe a new year's goal
ReplyDeleteAs I too live in France - my blog name is in French and means "chosen scraps" which relates both to my patchwork/quilting activities and my blog posts!
ReplyDeleteBlue Square Quilting is neither funny nor very imaginative and I sometimes wish I had put more effort into coming up with something wittier but it does represent my favorite color and my favorite shape. I am somehow attracted to the color blue, preferably navy, in clothes and in fabrics. And the same goes to squares. I have tried fighting it but I guess I am just wired that way!
ReplyDelete"Devons Quiet Corner"-Devon my name, Quiet Corner where I go to do my favorite things, blog, sew, stitch, read.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
Hi Karen,
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Well, my blog name isn't as creative or inspiring as others posted here but I figured I would throw my hat in as well. My name is Sara, I'm southern and I'm social. I will strike up a conversation with just about anyone. As a child, I was a parent's worst nightmare! So there you have it... socialsara.net
I blog about my love of food, fashion, travel, southern hospitality and of course, socializing. I'd love for you to stop by sometime!
Happy New Year,
Sara
http://socialsara.net
Wyoming Breezes was thus named first because I live in Wyoming, and secondly as my header states, "Just like the winds that blow through Wyoming, the thoughts posted here are varied - some a strong tirade and others merely a whisper."
ReplyDeleteI think yours is very clever, my personal name could not lend itselfs to anything like that. So I went with the fact I live on a cattle farm/ranch in a very small town called Rose which was shorten from Rose Prairie. Had to add the quilts not just because I love to quilt but believe it or not Rose Prairie Farms is a website for a farmer down the road. I like my name after I had made it but wasn't my first choice.
ReplyDeleteI started my blog as a travel journal, "on Vacation with Doc and di" so our kids and friends could follow us through France. Then I discovered other blogs and started posting about about photography, gardening and my big obsession, quilting. In one post I said I like so many "random" things, so I changed the name to "Random thoughts do or 'di'", di is my nickname.
ReplyDeletewww.randomthoughtsdoordi.blogspot.com
My blog name came to me in the middle of the night. I had resisted the whole Blogging world for a long time and then, one night I laid in bed and told my Huddy that I was going to start a Blog and share the "Moments" of my life with my friends...some would be quilting moments, some sewing and some complaining...all the moments that make me who I am.
ReplyDeleteI pikced my blog name because it describes what I do; I make bags to sell for a charity which supports starving children in Utange, a village near Mombasa in Kenya. So my blog name is sewingforutange
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is Star. I chose that because my real name is Stella. I was named after my Oma. I love my name. Its origin is Stella Maris, the Star of the Sea.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is called The Polka Dot Chicken. I adore polka dot fabrics and would love to have chickens but my homeowners association forbids suburban poultry. When I started my blog the quilt that is my blog header was hanging on the wall in front of me-polka dot chickens with a fried egg border - I took it as a sign - LOL! and that's where I got my name!
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is Just Another Day In Paradise. I chose this name bz I feel like if I can spend a day sewing and/or with the people I love most then it truly is another day in paradise. I love the beach and the ocean and my sewing sanctuary just kind of morphed into that beachy theme because for me sitting on the beach, listening to the ocean, and feeling the sand between my toes is another type of paradise! Only been to the beach by the ocean once in my life but I loved it!
ReplyDeleteHubby started calling me the Queen Bee- because Regina means Queen and I am always buzzing around between different projects. The Queen Bee's Buzz seemed like a natural blog name - especially since at the time I was teaching and selling crafts under the name QueenBeeCrafts.
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is simple, Cloth Stitched. It's what I love to do. Hand quilting, Hand Embroidery, Cross Stitch just holding and stitching cloth. The satisfaction of creating something stitched with my own 2 hands.
ReplyDeleteMine is "A mom, A wife and A Me" because well.. im a mom first off, then an awesome wife, but an even awesomer me! I love then blogs have chatchy or punny names though, mine was just the first thing I typed :)
ReplyDeleteI originally named my blog Plain Jane (Jane is my middle name) but then felt I was selling myself short haha. I changed it right away to Not-so-Plain Jane. There is another blog out there with the same name - I didn't check before I signed it up. I don't think my blog name really tells people what it's about...but then I didnt really know what I would be blogging about at the time and didn't want to limit myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your reasons for your blog name! I spell for a living as a transcriptionist and have always loved words, so I combined a favorite word that means a scrap or a bit; which is ORT. And because I'm a quilter who loves scrappy quilts I coopted the word for fabric. I added my name and it became Annie's Quilt Orts.
ReplyDeleteCat Patches: i love cats and patchwork quilting. Easy.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is titled Sweet Carolina Grace. We are saving and praying for an international adoption from Ethiopia, and Carolina Grace is our daughter's name. It gives us hope and a name for our prayers, plus my husband is from the Carolina's.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to do a play on my initials and since I am trying to start a quilt pattern design business, a friend came up with the name Jibberish Designs (JIB are my initials. It works well for my blog and my business. Hopefully in 2012 both will grow :)
ReplyDeleteSharny Mcclarny was my sweet Irish Dad's affectionate name for me when I was a child. Seemed appropriate, to honor my father, and use "sharnymcclarny" as my blog name.
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is "Collected Yarns." I wanted a blog where I could talk about things I make -- which are occasionally out of yarn :) -- but I also wanted a place to write down other rambling thoughts or stories, and the word "yarns" can also mean stories. "Collected" just means they're all in one spot.
ReplyDeleteGreat story! It's interesting to hear how blog names came about! When I decided I wanted to start a blog, My Life in Quilts just popped into my head - quilting is my passion and it just fit! And, because it's my passion, it's a big part of my family's lives too -whether they like it or not - LOL (but they mostly like it)!
ReplyDeleteWe have 4 rambunctious Labradors who do like to hang outside a lot. When they come in sometimes they leave lots of muddy footprints everywhere, so hence the name of my blog 16 Muddy Feet. Even though it has nothing to do with my quilting, they are usually in the room with me, and that is what I came up with at a moments notice when I started blogging.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is Stitchingmatters for not only do I write about stitching matters but stitching also matters to me. Does it make any sense?
ReplyDeleteMy blog is called Silver Sewer, beacuse I sew and I am of the third age, the hair is not silver yet but there are silver threads amoungst the dark brown.
ReplyDeleteLove it! My blog www.makeasilkpurse.com (which I haven't posted to in forever) is because I live my life turning a sow's ear into a silk purse. Oh, and my email which has harmony farms in it is a play on words with my last name, Harmon.
ReplyDeleteMy blog, Humble Quilter, was chosen because I grew up in a town called Humble (Texas). Also, my mother was born and raised there and she was also a quilter.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving reading everyone's comments!
My hubby and I always talk about "life's little adventures" so when I decided to start our blog it seemed only fitting to name it "Adventures of D and V" (his name is Daniel and my name is Veronica). After I created the blog I realized that the first 3 letters of Adventure (ADV) is the shortened abbreviation of our blog name well, when you take out the little words like "of" and "and" :)
ReplyDeleteMy blog, SEWmuchKNITting, reflects the things I like to do the most: sew and knit!I mostly use my blog to keep track of my projects, but I have 'met' several friendly bloggers along the way :-)
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed reading everyone's comments! I keep myself happily busy with two blogs:
ReplyDelete"Sketches from the Cupboard Under the Stairs" is my fine art blog. My first post at the site is the long version... but simply put, my Dad always kidded me about my tiny studio space. Of course, he was right. It has been like Harry Potter and his humble beginnings... with the exception of my sketching and unfortunate lack of magic! ;)
Pumpkin Hollow Primitives is for my rural life happenings, hand made items/quilting, and any other adventure that happen by! I love the fall and pumkin pie. My pumpkin patch was in a hollow over on our vacant property. I wasn't sure about how to tie it together... But primitives popped to mind, due to my love of hand made items. Some of my gourd creations may sometimes land on the more whimsical side, but it works! :)
Until I started my blog, I never really even read blogs. I didn't even realize how many craft blogs were out there yet. I decided to name my blog Christy's Cuties. One because my name is Christy. Cuties because I could take that either way. It could be about my family and my three kids, or about my crafy stuff that I do. Now that I realize how big blogging is...I might have chosen something different. But, it does still work for me so I guess I will leave it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is great to har the stories behind blog names ... there are some fantastic ones around! Sew Many Ways is one of them, and even more so knowing the story behind it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I joined the big wide world via the internet the word 'virtual' became part of my life, while i was playing with design in a quilt program. When I decided to share 'virtual' quilt designs Virtual Quilter was obvious ... so obvious I thought someone would have used it before me, but they hadn't, so I jumped in and claimed it!

I named my blog Pink Granny's Journey. I am a breast cancer survivor and celebrate this every day while remembering those who lost the fight. Pink keeps them on my mind and my trials in perspective. I am a grandmother to four now and I thoroughly enjoy this new aspect of my life. Journey is for my life; where I have been, where I am now and what lies ahead. I love new things and on this journey I am a tourist embracing things in my stride.
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is 'Not enough time to craft' and it iludes to the fact I work full time and don't have enough time to achieve what I would like to.
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is "Quilts of many colours" because I like colourful, scrappy quilts and of course Dolly Parton's song "Coat of many colours"
ReplyDeleteMy blog is Garner Girl.
ReplyDeleteI am Loree I grew up and still live in the tiny community of Garner Texas about 40 miles west of Fort Worth.
My blog is about the everyday things that effect my family & life in Garner Texas. Nothing Fancy like Garner!
The title of my blog is Carol's Crafty Creations. I've always been crafty and so my blog name is all about the crafty side of me. I'm always making something.
ReplyDeleteI just started my blog last week, but I chose the name "Scraps of My Life" to reflect several things. I wanted to share my quilting (which, of course, uses scraps) and I also enjoy scrapbooking and other paper crafts (more scraps). I know we don't create in a little box outside the rest of our life, so, being sure that I would also share bits and pieces (or scraps) of the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteEven though my blog rarely deals with sewing (it's mostly papercrafting), the blog title is named after my first (and most popular) jumper design from when I had my clothing business. Forget Me Knot (the name of the jumper design pattern) and Nonsense for my babble and the creations I was making- deemed nonsense because it did not bring in an income (this judgement is more from my family than by me!)!- Forget Me Knot Nonsense.
ReplyDeleteI really didn't pick my blog name. My daughter did. My comments show up as ShirleyC, but my url is Prayers for my Mom.
ReplyDeleteShe started my blog when I was having tongue cancer surgery so she could keep everyone updated throughout my surgery and hospital stay. Surgery was 12 hours, and stay in the hospital turned out to be 12 days.
I started to changed it and set up a new blog as I like sewing and such, but I didn't want to lose all of my wonderful comments and the people who started following me from the beginning.
I know it doesn't really "draw" people in, but it's my life so it will do.
Glad to know your meaning for your blog name.
Flourishing Palms. That's my blog name. It appears in favorite Bible verse, Psalm 92:12, but it's also a play on words. Since my blog is about quilting, sewing, stitching, and creating (with an occasional smidgen of "family") it's about the things I produce from my "flourishing palms," from my hands. I've never regretted choosing the name, and have come to love everything related to palm trees, especially the warm weather where they grow! We don't see many palm trees here in Iowa!
ReplyDeleteDebz Pic A Day - because my name is Deb and my blog is all about taking a picture every single day. (And I liked the idea of a "z" to make "Deb" plural.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking! My blog name is part where I live and part other stuff:) I live in New Mexico, the land of enchantment and one of my many, many, many hobbies is stamping and paper crafts. I've recently added the line "and other pursuits" to reflect my other crafty tangents!
ReplyDeleteMy blog's name -- 'The Quilter' -- came about in a funny way. Do you recall seeing a Kevin Costner movie called 'The Postman' set in post-apocalyptic America? It got me to thinking that if a person did not have a formal name what would you call that person? What would my 'name' be. I quilt. That's what I do, so my name would be 'The Quilter'.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the Latin expression Carpe Diem, which loosely translates to Seize the Day the name of my blog. I work full time, and am a busy volunteer with hobbies, especially quilting. Even to get a 1/2 hr in my room, I have to take charge, and Seize The Day!!!!
ReplyDeleteMine is Quilter in the Pines--I love to quilt, and I live among pine trees. My dad was so proud of his pine trees, and they're my favorites too, and putting 'pines' in the name honors him.
ReplyDeleteMy blog name, came about because of my two black cats who love to be in the sewing room when mamam is quilting Black Cat Quilting it had to be! This is a very fun post!
ReplyDeleteI name my blog Hook 'n Needle Creations since I choose only to share my life with others on my passion of sewing and crocheting... anything that i've created using crochet Hook and Needles(sewing, embroidery, cross stitch etc.)http://hooknneedlecreations.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteMy sorely neglected blog is called Dust Bunnies and Sequins because my life is a mix of the eclectic and the mundane. Both can generally be found on my floor at any one time
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is Nebraska Views. I am proud to be a born and raised Nebraskan so decided to use it as part of the name. The "views" part of it has several meanings. I wanted to be able to blog about a variety of subjects not just my passion of quilting. I do blog about quilting but also things that happen on the farm or my life - different views from Nebraska I guess.
ReplyDeleteMy blog name is "Pixels & Paperie". Why? Because I used to design digital scrapbooking products & love photography & Photoshop - hence the "pixels". Although I don't sell products anymore, I still love playing around in Photoshop & continue to design free printables which I share on my blog.
ReplyDelete"Paperie" - my scrapbooking love started with paper scrapping & I now love hybrid too. In fact I love any craft to do with paper - from drawing & painting to cards & scrapbooking. Pop in some time!
And suddenly it all makes sense now!
ReplyDelete"Sparkly Sharp and Fabulous" came from all the things I love: sparkly anything, a sharp and clever wit, and a fabulous life ahead of me! Simple, and to the point I think!
I love reading everyone's blog names! Hearing the back story is always so interesting to me! Thanks everyone for sharing too!
My blog is It is what it is. This is what has happened or this is what we have or these are the rules...it is what it is, we have to deal with it. I am sure my kids would remember me saying it to them many times..."I know it isn't fair but that's life and it is what it is..so let's make the best of it and carry on. I wanted to primarily talk quilting on my blog but soon realized that I would not be blogging often if I only talked about my quilting accomplishments, because if you go back and check this out you can see that quilting didn't even make it into the first post. Not THIS ONE either. It was only post #3 that I first talked quilting, and showed a quilting cartoon. Post #4 I did some stitching. Well you get the idea...my quilting blog became my "this is my life blog" for no other reason than It Is What It is.
ReplyDeleteThe above is an excerpt from a Nov. post on my blog explaining my blog name.
"Till We Quilt Again" is my blog. I hope when you visit, you feel the Warm Hug at the door, coffee is brewing and something just came out of the oven. We get lost in time, chatting about quilting, family and food. And because you are so incredibly creative--we share so... many great ideas. And as the time comes to a end, we are both a bit bummed. But we keep in mind that we will do this Very Soon and say our good-byes.... "Till We Quilt Again".
ReplyDeleteThat is what I hope to convey in my blog name. I Loved this post so much Karen, that I am inviting you to my Blog (I will link you) at some point tomarrow. HOW DO YOU LIKE YOU COFFEE!
My blog name, Nancy's One-stitch-at-a-Time came from hobby/business: Quilting. I figured that was the way I do it...one stitch at a time, so why not use it. Remember when there were all sorts of T-shirts with ____ do it _____ fill in the blanks...So, Quilter's do it one stitch at a time....hehehe Love Love Love your blog!!
ReplyDeleteMy business & blog share the same name, Sew Bee It Clothier.
ReplyDeleteWhen my family was new and the children were so young, when we would talk about the way things work out, I would say "so be it!". Now some 30 years later, I started my own Etsy shop, quit work full time to concentrate on that, and after beating cancer say, "sew bee it!". I love bees, especially the Queen! My daughter, Brittany, set me up with logos and all of the great things about my business. This name suits me to a "T"!
My blog is Projects By Jane. I love Project Runway and I started out making bags. But I didn't want to limit myself to bags so I use Projects. I also insisted on including my name. When I started selling my bags, I decided to use Projects By Jane as a label as I really like the name. It's a good ice-breaker as customers who browse at my booth would look at my label and turn to me and ask: Are you Jane? And when I say: Yes I am, they would give me such a bright smile because they broke the Da Vinci code!
ReplyDeleteMy Blog name originally started out as just SlowLane Blog then it went into Blogging in the Slow Lane. SlowLane came about as a bit tongue in cheek kind of thing. At the Time I started the Blog I was in rut I felt I was stuck in the Slow Lane of Life and everything and everybody was passing me by. I stuck with the Name though....it's grown on me:)
ReplyDeleteThe title of my blog isn't really all that special. I had a hard time deciding what to do so I just used my name. Nothing fancy. It works for me. I have not posted much on it. It is very new. But I am slowly working on it and updating when I can. So this year my resolution is to work on the blog and finish a few sewing projects I am working on.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is 50Forward. Pretty self explanatory...I am now 50 and fabulous ( as they say) actually little over that by now :-) I wanted my blog to represent who I am and embrace this second half of my life and explore all I can, serve others more, embrace life fully
ReplyDeleteNeed a better way to make my blog look pretty. We are adventurers. I am a shutterbug, love to sew, craft, knit, garden, you name it.
I LOVE the histories!

ReplyDeleteI have 2 blogs Coupons, Crafts and Causes and Indiana Inker.
ReplyDeleteCoupons, Crafts and Causes are 3 of my favorite things. I love couponing and crafting (sewing, crochet and card making) and have been doing them for over 30 years. "Causes" came from really enjoying donating items, handmade or otherwise, to local non-profits.
Indiana Inker - I'm also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and it started out as strictly a demonstrator website, but now I post all of my craft projects.
My 1st name is Diannia and my last name is House so I called my blog dianniashouse. Only thing that would have made it better is if my middle initial was S...oh well.
ReplyDeleteMine is called Blessed...Loved...Overwhelmed.by.Grace. The first letter of each word spell out B.L.O.G. It pretty much sums up my life - I'm blessed, I'm loved, and I'm often overwhelmed at the grace of God that's bestowed on me. I think I have 13 followers, and I'm pretty sporadic about posting, but I'm glad I jumped on the blog bandwagon! Doris
ReplyDeleteMy blog is called Making Time....simply because that is what I have found that I need to do. I need to make the time to get the fun stuff done in with what needs to be done. And I never regret Making Time for something. :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, choosing a blog name is more difficult now as so many good names are already snapped up! One that I wanted was used, but when I visited the blog, it hadn't been updated since 2005! Boo- I wanted to write and request the name ;) So, after many tries to find just the right name, my blog became "no such thing as quiet time" because it seems we are just always busy with something. Thanks for asking-- its fun to read through and see where everyone "came" from!
ReplyDeleteNew follower - what an awesome blog, Karen!!
ReplyDeleteMy blog is itsallaboutsherry...and really it's not, but i coudln't think of anything when a friend lured me into blog world. my description once you enter my blog indicates that I really only think it's all about what I care about - friends, family, faith, fabrics, fibers, etc....
Sherry :o)

My blog name is Lotta quilting. I chose this for two reasons, one my maidan name is Lott, and second my favorite hobby is quilting. Both worked well in creating a title.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun comments! I actually did a post about my blog name. "Willow Blue" came about from the memories of family dinners using the Blue Willow dinnerware given to my parents as a wedding gift from my great-grandmother. Also my childhood home had giant willow trees in the back yard that we played under. And my very favorite color is blue. So it all tied in together and made sense to me!
ReplyDeleteOur blog name "Toys In The Dryer" came from a conversation we had on the phone. My BFF and I were talking about fun activities to do with our kids and then I stopped the conversation and said to my son "If you could please stop putting your toys in the dryer that would be great." And THAT is where it all began.
ReplyDeleteMine is "A Bushel and a Pech," both a play off my last name and the old song. I played around with various blog names, but this one finally stuck!
ReplyDeleteMine matches my license plate. We drove from Arizona to Texas to spend Christmas with my parents. We took MY vehicle as it was larger (ya GOTTA have room for the presents!). I'm not TOO sure my husband was happy driving an SUV that says 'BZYQLTR' on the back! I love to stump the guys at the car wash and oil change place! The 'Z' and the 'Q' confuse them!
ReplyDeleteI've just started a new blog called "A Pocketful of Me". It's about how I add a little bit (or just a pocketful) of my own personality to things around the home and handmade things I make.
ReplyDeleteI also love pockets. They hold my keys, my phone, shopping lists, notes, my hands... without a pocket in my jeans/shorts/skirts I am lost. I'd rather shove small things in my pockets than carry a handbag!
