We all love crafting, sewing, quilting, scrap booking, knitting, embroidery, painting etc and we may dabble in a little bit of everything...however...
if you had to pick just one...what would your favorite be?
Ok, let me make it harder with a crazy story. You are going to be on a deserted island for one year and can only take one hobby (and all the things for that one hobby) with you...What would it be?
Oh, yeah...there will be electricity on this island. Let's not get too crazy with this story! (and my island will have potato chips too)
ONE hobby...ONE snack
Sorry, can't use your computer as your hobby. Lol !!
Mine are...quilting and Pringles chips
Let's hear from everyone to see what the most popular hobby is!!
Happy Thursday,
~Karen~

It goes without saying that this island would have coffee in the am and red wine or margaritas at happy hour right?
Quilting - it's my ONLY hobby. And probably sea salt & cracked pepper lentil chips, although I can't think of a snack I wouldn't get sick of eventually. Unless it's peanut butter granola bars, which I've been eating every day for breakfast for about six years now.
ReplyDeleteKnitting and Bounty chocolate bars.
ReplyDeleteI can't decide between smocking and embroidery. Hmmmm......maybe I could say children's heirlooms. And I would definitely want margaritas!! A girl just can't survive on an island without them.

ReplyDeleteDe-lurking to answer this one! Had to make choices just as you mentioned only the island DH was taking me too is inhabited...we were going to AU for 2 yrs. I decided to bring quilting...hand applique and piecing. As for a snack, I would bring a drink...Diet Dr. Pepper.

Sewing, not just piecing quilt tops but all kinds of sewing. Welch's grape juice for the snack, especially when I'm sick or have just had surgery. Okay you drink it and don't "eat" it but that's my choice!
ReplyDeleteQuilting and dark chocolate covered almonds.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun question! I immediately began to think practically about what particular craft would be most useful on a deserted island---what?? :D I also immediately thought hot tea for my snack, but then realized that I could probably make my own tea by boiling water and using some kind of island tree leaf to flavor it (umm...this all flew through my head in a matter of seconds). Time to throw caution to the wind! My choices would be painting and chocolate-covered almonds!
ReplyDeleteLoved reading all the comments! :)
Sewing...that covers so many aspects of the craft...it was a toss up between sewing and knitting, I just learned how to purl for the way i knit and then thought how hot this tropical island would be and decided to take sewing! My first passion. I love the idea of the person who said Tom Sellick! I would take my husband, but he isn't a food, so i would say Grapes...I love grapes, green, red, seedless or seeds!
ReplyDeleteThat took me a while to decide...so it is Sewing and Grapes (and DH if i can bring my best friend)

ReplyDeleteLand o Lakes American cheese wrapped in dill sandwich stackers and my iPhone of course.
ReplyDeleteNeedlework and chips and salsa...could I bring books to read too??
ReplyDeleteSewing....and Cheetos. They never go together (everything turns orange) and I never, ever buy them. But if I'm on an island, and no one will know what I have.....it's got to be Cheetos!
ReplyDeleteCross Stitch and ICE CREAM!
ReplyDeleteI have a business painting custom dishes. I do make (some) money with it, but it's also still a hobby, it's still fun for me. SO, I would take my dishes w/paints and Hershey kisses :)
ReplyDeleteQuilting, for sure, if I get to have ALL the tools. The year would go by in a flash!!! And brownies....this Island is a no calorie island, right??
ReplyDeleteWhy, knitting of course & cup cakes !!! LOL
ReplyDeleteSewing and Hershey dark chocolate kisses
ReplyDeleteI found you recently through pinterest and fell in love with your blog. I love your craft space! I am a "stamper/scrapbooker". Luckily I don't have many other crafts since I'm on 5 stamp companies/challenge design teams so I have an easier choice - stamping would be what I bring with me. And I guess Lays BBQ chips would be my food of choice.
