Movies...I don't go to the movie theater very often. I should, because our daughter works there and it's free for us. Well, we went last night to see the last Harry Potter movie. We have been fans of the books since the beginning when our girls were younger. I won't spoil it for you, but if you follow Harry...go see it!!!
Adding this series of movies to my favorites list...
Sound of Music
Star Wars
Harry Potter
I know odd mix.
How about you...any favorite movies?
Have a happy Thursday,
~Karen~

ReplyDeleteSome favorites, not necessarily in this order:
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
(Wasn't Howard Keel handsome!)
Sound of Music
(I visited the gazebo from the "I am 16 going on 17 scene" when I was 18, a couple of years after the movie. Disappointing, it was in need of repair.)
Gone with the Wind
(Don't you just want to smack some sense into Scarlet and Rhett?)
I'm a fan of Harry's as well as the 007 series but my 2 favorite moveis would have to be Dr. Zivago (did I spell that right?) and West Side Story.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to say which movie is my favorite...we love Harry Potter and went to the new one last week. We will see it again this weekend. Also I like Lord of the Rings, Mama Mia, several versions of Jane Austen books...especially with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. The list goes on and on back to the oldies in black and white...
ReplyDeleteYours Mine and Ours was one of my all time favorites.. the old one not the new one. I also love Gone with the Wind.. Love it!! Many of the old musicals are on my list. I watch them every time they come on .. like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.. they just make me happy. Perhaps I was born in the wrong era.
ReplyDeleteOne of my very favorite movies is, Wizard of Oz. Yeah, I know that dates me, but I just love it. Oh Brother Where Art Thou and Sting are two others I would watch over and over.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to see Harry Potter this weekend...can't wait...we've read all the books and seen all the movies. I like all your choices...I have to add in Willie Wonka...the original...and Dirty Dancing.
ReplyDeleteAs I read, I had to really think about this - then it hit me!! I would have to say my favorite move is:
ReplyDeleteAvatar
I did not see this in the theater, didn't really know what all the fuss was about, so waited till the DVD. Well, for someone who will watch something once or twice, then wait at least a year, well, this movie, I watched 9-10 times already - and have been thinking about it lately to watch again!! I watched it 7 times shortly after we had gotten it, so I am due!!
Huge Harry Fan!! And enjoyed other movies mentioned but i love that Avatar is such a beautiful place and I love th blue people... I want to go there...... (take out the bombing scenes and I am going!!()
Gone With The Wind

ReplyDeleteSound of Music is a must, I think. But have you ever seen "The Green Mile" with Tom Hanks? That's my alltime favorite! And if you are in to animatied films "Thumbalina" is a great one, just for the songs!! (maybe very childish for a woman of 39, but I just love it!)
