Sharing on Sunday #7...Christmas in July

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. For those of you who are new to my blog...(I had new followers this weeks!! Thanks to all who clicked the follow button)...I started Sharing on Sunday as a way to thank all of you who visit my blog each day.

I may find something on sale, thrifting, may have a duplicate of something at home, something I have made or it could be something I have that I want to share with you. No matter what it is, I want to share, because I'm grateful for the friends I've made through blogging.

Since my last post was about wrapping gifts, how about a Christmas wrapping set.

First is...2 packages shrink wrap gift bags. Each package has 2 bags in each. You just place your gift basket or gift inside and then tie it up. Now you use a hair dryer to make it shrink around the basket.

The bags have a snow flake print.
space

here's the size.

Next is the ribbon to tie up that gift basket. Cute red swirl.

The roll has 9 feet of wired edge ribbon 2 1/2" wide.

Next, you need the hang tag for the basket.

There is also a package of 40 peel and stick gift labels. The front has gold labels...

and the back of the package has silver.

I've also included a package of cupcake wraps and decorative picks with the snow flake theme.

Now how can we have a gift basket without the grass. Ok, they call it basket filler, but basket grass sounds better. It's red and has some shiny pieces mixed in.

I think you're all set to wrap a few gifts this holiday season. Normally, I would just ask you to leave a comment to be enter (which you still can) but if you'd like to share a special or favorite Christmas memory that would be great too. Don't feel like you have to, just a "hello I'm entered" is fine.

Happy Christmas in July,

ps...I think someone is going to ask where I found all these Christmas things in July. Well, I have a place in the house where I keep all the things I buy during all those after Christmas sales. I just raided that place a little today.

  2. I love Christmas...I love the cozy feeling in the house, my snowman collection, new and old traditions...I'm smiling just thinking about it :) One of my favorite recent memories is of two years ago when my husband and I broke the tradition of traveling to 4 different grand-parents houses on Christmas day in favor of keeping our kids at home and inviting others to stop in. (People were really angry with us!) That year Santa brought Rock Band (a video game) and we literally spent the whole day in jammies playing rock band with the kids and anyone who stopped by. We had such a great day!

  3. Yeah! Christmas in July is so fun! I have so many wonderful memories of my Father during past Christmases. He's been gone for 11 years now and I love to stop and think of all of those fun memories.

  6. Yeah! Christmas in July is so fun! I try to do something for Christmas all year long just so I don't have to race around at Christmas. But, that's the fun thing about Christmas too...the racing around looking for the special things. Or, maybe I should say, sometimes it't fun. Anyway, thanks for having the Christmas wrapping and all the ideas you always have. I love your blog and I now visit it every day, not just Sundays and Tuesdays. Have a great week. Hugs, Linda

  7. I just stumbled upon your blog today and spent all afternoon checking out your posts. I have to say I love it!

My special holiday memory is more of a tradition. My husband and his best friend get together every year and make Christmas cookies. They've been doing this since they were kids and this year will be their 27th year doing this. Now each family has two children apiece and they get involved as well and it is so fun for us wives to sit back and watch the men teach the children their tradition.

  8. I love fun ways to wrap gifts. We are slowly trying to teach our almost 4ye year old that it is not about receiving gifts. One of my favorite things to do with her is have her help make gifts and wrap them. She is more excited to pass out gifts than open (yes, I know this will change). Having a great stash of supplies has helped make this more fun!

  9. I love Christmas and have many fond memories but I think my best ones were reading the Night Before Christmas to the kids on Christmas Eve...and also, on Christmas Eve...right before bed, they'd put the baby Jesus figure in the manger and they'd sing "Happy Birthday" to Him. Your prize this week is a great one, but I actually have tons of gift wrap supplies, Karen, so if my name comes "out of the hat" this week, pick someone else to win, okay?

  10. Christmas in July!! Cool, no Hot!

My favorite Christmas memory is when I was 4, I caught my Daddy working in the basement on a chest. I asked him what it was and he told me a tool chest.
Christmas morning, it was under the tree with a set of china dishes for me. I laughed and said Santa put my dishes on Daddy's tool chest.

AND I still have that dish cabinet, my grandkids play dishes with it every chance they get.

  13. Another great give away!!! I have so many wonderful christmas memories that I would spend an entire day just talking about it. But let me tell you, living in a south american country does not allow us to have a white christmas. Our christmas is in summer and usually extremely hot. But I was lucky to have 5 white christmases while living in the States. It was magic for me. It was soooooo "real", so much like the movies and the story books we used to read as kids. I loved it. Thanks Karen!

  14. Christmas in July huh? My favorite Christmas memory was my firs Christmas as a mother. Due to some medical issues during birth, we were so blessed to have a healthy baby boy to celebrate Christmas with.

  22. I love Christmas and make cards and ornaments every year for about 25 friends. I also make friendship bread and put 3 small loaves in a gift bag for them. I start my cards and ornaments in Jan. every year. Can you tell I love Christmas.

  23. I love everything about Christmas. It's been enjoyable hearing my grown daughters explain to their husbands about our Christmas traditions. Some things I just did out of necessity, like putting up at least one decoration a day during the month of December, had become a tradition to them. They would come home from school and race around the house looking for that day's decoration. Now that they are grown and I have a little more time I do most of the decorating over a weekend. They still love to look for the decorations though!

  27. Nice assortment...it should dress up my holiday fare quite well.
When the Y2K scare was on, my entire family from Florida came here to northern Maine just in case everything crashed. We are pretty independant with our wood heat and freezers of plenty from the garden and farm so I was ready to house an additional 20 people. It would have been a riot for things to crash!!!! oh well...a bit of a flop, but fun none the less.

  30. Oh, I love your Christmas in July Theme! This is so much fun and I love the gift wrap pack in this giveaway!

I can't think of a specific Christmas, but I have a little tradition I want to share because it relates. Each year I get a new ornament for each member of our family with our names and the date on them. Sometimes I do themes, sometimes I get something related to what is going on in our lives and sometimes I just get something I like. It is fun to bring them out each year and remember those Christmases and what was going on and then to see what the new ornament for that year is.
