I never realized that the "I Spy" squares give away would be so popular. I thought a few of you would comment and I would send out the fabric. However, it's only been 2 days and there are over 100 comments already!! I hate the fact that I can't give every one a pile of squares, but how about the next best thing!!!

So, here is my question or poll...If I hosted an "I Spy" square swap, how many of you would be interested? I have never hosted a swap before, so I need to research it a little, but just want to know if it is something of interest.

THIS IS NOT A SIGN UP!

Just want to see if you'd like to. If there is enough interest, all who sign up could have an instant collection of I spy fabrics from all over the world.

Ok...now I'm getting excited! Just let me know on this post if you're interested.

See you tomorrow for TTT,
~Karen~
Very interested!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds interesting, but how exactly would it work? Would we send just one square to someone? Or several? I don't mean for this to sound like a dumb question, but is "I spy" fabric very different from other fabric?
ReplyDeleteI am new to quilting, so I am just getting into this :)
Sure, I'm game. On the nickel quilts group-- that's now gone quiet, we traded and the quality was monitored closely. We did 5" squares. Each person would send in a 'set'-- maybe 20 of the same pattern-- then we got back 20 different. Would your swap work the same-- so we bought a yard or two of a fabric, cut it into squares, and sent them in to get a variety back? Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I would join in the fun.
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested! I'll keep an eye out here for news of a swap!
ReplyDeleteMGM
I would be interested to! I will be watching for possible info.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Donna
I've never been involved in a swap, but I'm game!

I made mine in the disappearing 9 patch pattern. Makes it more interesting for the kiddo that receives it! This sounds like alot of fun. Jenn
Am in the process of an I Spy quilt and need more fabrics. Please organize this swap, it would be so much fun. Sad that I missed your give away.
ReplyDeleteI'm very interested in an I spy fabric swap!!
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting idea! I have never sign up for a swap, but hey why not Karen!
ReplyDeleteZlaty
yes, interested.
ReplyDeleteI love to do giveaways too but don't have as a good as a response as you have.
I would love to do a swap! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! Sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteTwenty sounds like too little, 40 sounds like too many. Maybe 25 or 30. Count me in.
ReplyDeleteKaren, WOW, isn't it amazing when you offer a giveaway? Count me in for the swap. I said I have always wanted to make an "I Spy" quilt and now I will!
ReplyDeleteBarb
Sounds like it would be fun.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading about blog swaps and such and would love the chance to participate in one. I'm sure it would be fun with I Spy squares.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Australia. I have made two I Spy quilts and have lots and lots of fabric left over. I hope to make more and would definitely be interested in a swap. I have never participated in one before, so it sounds great. Regards Sam (Sandra) s.downes@murdoch.edu.au
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI would be insterested!
ReplyDeleteI could be interested...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely would I be interested! Like I said before, it's so hard to collect enough different fabrics for an eyespye quilt, and then you have ooodles left over! I have no idea how it would work, but would be willing to participate!
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested, but whether I participated would depend on the details and my own family's calendar :)
ReplyDeleteI have never participated in a swap and would love to start with something like that. I think it's a great idea, so if you do it, let me know and count me in!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea.
