Find a Friend Friday and Ask the World a Question...

Welcome to another fabulous Friday!! Today is the day where I combined both of my Friday features into one..."Find a Friend Friday Linky Party" and "Ask the World a Question". It's the best, because it's all about YOU!!!

Add your blog to the linky party below AND ask all your questions in the comment section! Details for each are below. The question section has been such a popular feature, I hope you can join in too!!

Come on in and make a new friend...

Question and Answers

Here's how it will work...
  • post your question in the comment section. You can ask anything at all...from sewing, cooking, family, vacationing in other countries, crafting, blogging, photography, decorating...anything goes
  • everyone will read the question
  • if someone has a helpful answer, that person will click the "REPLY" button right under THAT particular question and post the answer!!
  • that way everyone can read the answer too!!
  • this is helpful for those who don't like to share their email address or who are "no replies" and there isn't an email address to respond to
  • just come back to this post to see if your question has been answered!!

Find a Friend Linky Party

This is easy to participate in. You are just linking to your own blog. No Pressure!! No projects to sew, no furniture to paint, no cookies to bake or pictures to take. You are just sharing your site and then friends will stop by for a visit.

  • at the very end of this post, click on the "click here to enter" link...way at the end, after the last blog that has been linked. See it way down there at the bottom?
  • copy and paste or just type in your blog address...example: http://sewmanyways.blogspot.com
  • enter title of link...your blog name or phrase to grab attention
  • add a photo of you, your profile picture or your blog button or whatever you think will grab some one's attention...(I'm thinking a picture of a big piece of chocolate cake, but that's just me LOL)

That's it...super easy. Have fun checking in on all the new blogs. Come back, because more are added all the time!

Don't forget to check out the comment section too...there are ALWAYS great questions and helpful answers.

Happy Blogging,
~Karen~

    1. But off course! What would blog-land be without Sew Many Ways?!

  2. Okay asking a question ! Have any of you seen the movie Tommy Boy where there is the scene with Chris Farley about the " Fat guy in little coat " ? Well, my sewing room is feeling ALOT like a fat guy in a little coat ! Especially now that I have a queen size quilting frame in there ! Any suggestions on creative storage solutions?

    1. Oh my goodness -- that is the million dollar question for just about every crafter, isn't it? My most creative storage solution is really not all that creative. I like to really utilize the vertical space in any storage area, including the ceiling. Is the quilting frame something that could be hung up on a wall or from the ceiling?

    2. I love watching the decorating shows on TV, but I have only seen a sewing/quilting room done once years ago on Extreme Home Makeover, that was just a basic room based on what we saw as they just showed a glimpse of it. I wish they would do a couple of shows on sewing rooms. There are some great ideas on Pinterest for setting up rooms. Is your frame one of those that flips vertical when not in use where when not in use it will take up less space.

    3. No folding this one, its a Grace Start Right machine frame ! 103 inches long in a 108 inch long room ! Getting it set up was interesting to say the least !

  3. Question: I read that to gain a blog following, it's best to post daily. Sometimes I get in a funk (kids fighting, money tight, project fail, etc.) and just truly cannot put down one word or take one picture for days. How do you overcome this problem and stay consistent with blogging posts? Thanks ~ Mary

    1. I don't think you have to post daily at all. I have seen bloggers who have over 1500 followers and they post when they feel like it, which sometimes can be a month between postings. I feel it's better to post when you have something to share. So many times I see people posting just to post and the post isn't that interesting at all. If people like what you do they will follow if they don't they won't. You don't have to stay consistent unless you are making this your business for profit and feel the need to always have something posted. Be true to yourself.

  4. Question: I have a Brother Innovis 900D sewing/embroidery machine. I have never used the embroidery part. I purchased a couple of embroidery things to download this week, but I can't figure out how to download. I mean I've downloaded them to my computer, but how do I transfer to my machine? Does anyone know what I do? Thanks for your help!

    1. I also have a Brother machine, and I had to purchase a burner for the discs (a cartridge like thing that plugs into the machine). It cost about $25 five years ago, but much less to burn your own than to buy them. Google "Brother PED Basic"
