Remember the tutorial for this bird nesting material cage? (Click HERE to go to that post.)
Well, look what I found in the tree not far away from the cage...
I'm not saying all the fluffy stuff in that bird's nest is from my nesting cage, but...
my crafting heart hopes it is!!
Save some of your crafting, sewing, knitting scraps and make a nesting cage for your feathered friends.
Happy Friday,

ReplyDeleteAnd there it is... that was quick! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea and you must feel so good seeing it work.
ReplyDeleteFantastic use of scraps... my mother in law use to throw them on her back lawn and watch the birds come and get them xxx
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful idea and I think I'll give it a try!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that wonderful...nature is so amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of scraps. Is the nest as huge as it looks in the picture? I'm wondering what kind of bird builds a nest that large.

That is amazing! How fun!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great cosy nest....great idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I always toss my threads from sewing projects on the bushes around the yard. Doesn't stay there long!
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I love leaving little snippets for "my" birds. I often see them pulling pieces, but I've never seen a nest like that!
ReplyDeleteWow!! How cool!

I LOVE the way you help the creatures of the winter have a more comfortable season.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to try this. So glad I found your blog. I wasn't sure at first because I don't sew much. We visited New England several years ago and loved it. Stowe, Vermont was so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWay cool! What a good feeling that must be!
ReplyDeleteFantastic - kind of looks like he put too much detergent in his washing machine and flooded the nest. I'm sure it must be super cozy in there for him.
ReplyDeleteI received a cage like bird feeder for Christmas and wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it. Now I know!! I love to sit in my garden and watch the birds and butterflies flutter through my yard. Thanks for this wonderful idea.

I'm going to do this with all the x-stith floss I trim from my projets, as well as yarn from my knitting. great idea
ReplyDeleteJust do NOT put in BRIGHTLY colored scraps.... makes their nest a neon sign for predators.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea! (somehow I missed the original post...) I am going to make more than one! My stepmother feeds every bird in northwest Alabama and she needs a few!
ReplyDeleteIn stitches,
Teresa :o)
How wonderful to see it come into fruition!!! You must feel so great! I plan to do one of these...
