Tool Time Tuesday...Binder Clip For Your Wallet

Hi everyone and welcome to another Tool Time!! Seems like I have binder clips on the brain these last few weeks. I've been using them for everything. Click HERE if you missed last week's glue gun idea with a binder clip.

Here is today's tip for a binder clip...on your wallet for safety reason!!

binder clip for wallet

I bought this small wristlet wallet to hold my phone and credit cards when we go for walks or just a quick run into the store. Stays in my larger bag, but a quick grab and go wallet.

I love it and it's very convenient.

The only thing I worry about with wristlets is the cards slipping out when the purse is dangling from your wrist.

I need just a few cards...bank card, debit pharmacy card for the insurance, paypal card and whole sale store member cards.

I don't use them a lot, but I need them with me just in case. However, I do worry they'll fallout with this style purse.

Here's my solution!!

A pretty binder clip.

I keep the most used card right under the silver clip part.

That way, I just flip it up the one clip to get to the card and the binding part stays on to keep the other cards secure.

Peace of mind and it's cute too!!

I don't think the binder clip ideas will stop any time soon, so I'll keep them coming when I think of them!!

Happy Tuesday,
~Karen~

  1. Hi Karen, How on earth do you do it??!!Week after week you come up with these amazing tips!!And every time I read it, I think, hey!! Why didn't I think of that and mostly I have that problem but just didn't think of solving it!!!I have a separate card holder because they were always all over my bag!!!Now I can put them back in my pretty purse because of the humble little binder clip and YOU!!!

  2. I love the cute clip...most of mine are boring black. I used to have the same problem but now I don't use the 'card holder' area in my wristlet wallet to hold my cards. My solution was to put them in the zipper area with any cash that I may have. Now I use the card slots for receipts that I need for returns, business cards or to hold pieces of paper that people give me (for whatever reason) until I can file them.

  5. Hi Karen, I love binder clips. I use a big one to hold the extension cord and my Iron's cord on the ironing board, so it's easy to plug my iron in and the silver part of the clip is perfect to hang my spray bottle of starch on. Binder clips aren't just for office use anymore!!

  6. Binder clips rock!!

That being said, you can get apps on your smartphone that will scan & store your loyalty cards so you no longer have to carry them.

  12. I realise this is "old", but I stumbled on your blog through Pinterest (as one does) and had to say this post was far me use than I anticipate you expected it to be.

I have cerebral palsy and mostly its my hands that struggle, especially in the cold (which is often as I live in the UK). Im always "that slow one" at the checkout because I struggle to get my cards out.

I just tried your trick, and then I used the clip to pull out a card! It was a doddle!
