Thrifty Thursday...Recycle Juice Bottle to Vase

Here is an easy Thrifty Thursday...a plastic juice bottle spray painted on the outside and used as a vase!

This idea is great for school functions, church socials, quilt guild meetings, baby or bridal showers etc. Any function that needs multiple table decorations, but you don't want to spend a lot of money.

You can save any size juice bottle for your particular function. The bottles in the stores now have such pretty shapes. If you find one that you like, spread the word to friends and family to "start drinking" Lol

This is a small juice bottle, but I like the shape of it for this idea.

Goof Off is a life saver. I use this to remove any sticky residue or label that doesn't come off with hot soap and water.

This bottle had a big label and the glue remained on one whole side. Came of in one swipe.

Goof Off even removes the ink for the expiration date.

Wash with soap and water to remove the smell of the Goof Off.

I used Krylon Fusion, because it is awesome for plastics.

This is a satin finish white, but a glossy finish would give you a glass like appearance for a vase. The satin was all I had at home.

Fill with any cut flowers. You can also tie a bow around the top of the bottle where the cap screws on if your bottle has that.

For larger centerpieces, the 64 ounce bottles you be great too!!

Have a great Thursday,

  4. My Man collects old glass bottles. We have used them for church gatherings and my daughter used them on the tables at her wedding reception. They were great conversation starters.
I love the painted juice bottles. They are such pretty shapes.
