Smorgasbord of Information...

Hi everyone...hope you had a great weekend. I have little bits of great info to share, so I thought I would put it all in one post!!

PART 1

The winners of 2 give aways I had...

Winner #1 for the book, A Year of Making Life Beautiful...

Random Number Generator picked #6 and the winner is...

Kristi from the blog Thankful Me

click her blog name link...she has an awesome looking popcorn recipe...just thought I'd share that, all in the name of yumminess!!

The second give away winner is for the patterns from Whimsy Couture post. The winning number is...#20!!

Chris from the blog Glitzy Me

pop over to Chris' blog...she just started and we need to give her some blogging love!!!

Congratulations ladies...I will contact the companies and have them contact you!!

PART 2

Vicki from Vicki Welsh Hand Dyed Fabrics, who is one of my fabulous sponsors, is having a great sale in her Etsy Shop. All of her hand dyed gradients are 20% off through July 11th!!

Aren't these beautiful? These are just 2 of her most popular designs.  Click here to go for a visit to her Etsy Shop.

PART 3

I received an email from Kelle asking what I thought the best thread organizer/holder was. Wow, that is a tough one for me. I have changed my thread organizing a hundred times...never seem to be satisfied.

Here are 2 links that I've done and there are so many more I haven't even shown on my blog. I can't seem to get a good one.

Soda crates...Click Here

Old Tool Box...Click Here. Scroll down a bit in the post for the thread box

Right now I'm back to the racks you buy in the fabric stores.

Here's my idea...a linking party (like Find a Friend Friday or Sew Darn Crafty) where we all share a picture of our own thread organizing ideas.

Get your post and pictures ready and I will have the Thread Organizing Linking Party on one of my Sew, Sew Saturday posts.

We'll have it on July 21st.!!

What do you think? Are you up for a thread party?!!!!

Ok, I had more to share, but this was a lot to take in, so it will have to be another post!!

Have a great day,
~Karen~

  2. The linking party sounds like a great idea! It sort of depends on the individual as to whether they want their thread beautifully display (like the soda crates--I love that) or if they want them away from light and dust. I'm looking forward to seeing all the ideas!

  10. The best(but not free) are old spool cabinets. These little cabinets were used in stores for selling thread. We bought one when we were first married to use as a coffee table. A couple of years ago, I was trying to figure out how to store my stash of thread. Sorry to say it took a while before it dawned on me that our spool cabinet was made for SPOOLS!
