Fat Free Key Lime Fluff Recipe...

I love anything with lime and key lime pie is my favorite. Here's a fat free version of Key Lime pie without the crust. It's more of a fluffy dessert, but the key lime flavor is definitely there. It also has the added benefit of yogurt in it too!

This recipe goes together quickly and taste great!!

Key Lime Fluff

one (.3 oz) box sugar free lime flavored Jell-o
1/4 cup boiling water
2 (6 oz) containers light key lime yogurt. I used Yoplait because it had zero fat.
one (8 oz) container fat free cool whip

Dissolve Jell-o in the 1/4 cup boiling water. Blend in yogurt. Fold in the container of whipped topping and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.

I divided the mixture into pre-measured dishes to control how much I'm eating. You can also put it in a pie shell or just serve it in one big bowl, if you prefer.

Calorie Info…

The whipped topping I used was 500 calories for the whole container with zero fat. (20 calories for 2 tablespoons with 25 servings per container)

The Jell-o is 40 calories for the whole package.

Here is the info for the yogurt. There are 90 calories for each one (180 total for this recipe) with the added benefit of vitamin A and D and calcium.

The total calories for everything is 720. If you divided it up into 8 servings, like it was a pie, that's only 90 calories a dish!

Enjoy!!

  1. Karen, you're so good at blogging stuff, I'm turning to you. Maybe you can point me in the right direction to make a button for my blog. I have looked at PicMonkey, but I just don't know how to proceed. Do you know anywhere that has directions written out?

  3. Oh, Karen...What a GREAT post. I grew up in Palm Beach, Florida, and we had a wonderful key lime tree in our back yard. My entire family LOVES anything lime pieish. Wait until I send this to my son in Seattle. He will be so excited for a new recipe. Thanks SO MUCH for sharing. Hot 5 inches of snow today so quilted all day:-)
