Yum!!!
I've been eating these strawberries fresh out of the box, but I needed that little chocolate fix today!
I saw this half empty frosting container in the refrigerator and thought...hmmm, let's see if this works.
One spoonful in a glass dish.
Microwave for 15 seconds more or less according to how much frosting you are using.
Ready to dip!!
You can eat them warm after the first dip...
or you can refrigerate for a little bit and thicken up the frosting. They won't be like the harder coating if you used melted chocolate chips, but still delicious.
I was also making waffles for hubby for breakfast night and thought...why not!!
I think the dipping possibilities are endless.
Have a great day,
~Karen~
Thank you for sharing! I never go through a whole can of frosting. As a matter of fact, I still have half of a vanilla one in the fridge right now. Going to have to try this!
ReplyDeletePretzels are also tasty dipped in chocolate frosting.
ReplyDeleteHi There, Another great tip!!!Didn't know you could microwave the frosting!!But there is one big problem??!!It's too darn easy!!!Now a simple shortbread cookie becomes a chocolate dipped shortbread cookie in just seconds!!!Ye Ye, I know!!Self control and willpower!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!!!

Oh no....two of my favorite foods....strawberries and chocolate! I could be in trouble with this! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is really yummy spread on graham crackers.....thankfully I have not done that in many, many years!
ReplyDeleteI use the German chocolate and the plain chocolate icing for my brownies. You will never go back to plain brownies again. Dipping strawberries and pretzels in the icing can only mean big trouble! Can't wait. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWere you peeking in our windows yesterday? :) DS (age 11) came up with the idea to put chocolate frosting on his strawberries, but didn't do the microwave thing. If I remember right he might have thought about it though.
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud when I read breakfast night my husband and I quite often have bacon and eggs or crumpets for tea and call it night breakfast. Its fun and some times all that is in the fridge if neither of us has got to the shops
ReplyDeleteKaren, you share the BEST ideas! :-)
ReplyDeleteThese look yummy! Strawberries and chocolate are made for each other! Thanks for sharing this great idea! ~~Vickie
