Thoughts on Thursday...

This quote was in my fortune cookie...

"It is your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude."
                                                                           ~Zig Ziglar~

If you really think about this quote, it can apply to anyone or anything. A positive "attitude" about something is so important. Attitude is not "what" you think about something ...it's how you "feel" about something.

So "feel" good about what your doing, even in the simplest things in life. Most people reading this right now love to create... we like to craft, sew, cook, blog etc. Whatever you do, do it with attitude...a positive attitude. It doesn't have to be picture perfect in the end...just love what you do and how it turns out, because when you are positive and surround yourself with positive...the sky's the limit.

Happy Thursday,
~Karen~

  1. I definitely agree. It's not what you've got, it's what you do with it. Some folks know how to make the most of everything, even the bad stuff. They'll always do well and be happy, no matter what!

  4. so true. As a manager where I work we also abide by this. You can teach a skill, but an attitude comes from what kind of person you are dealing with. It helps make you successful in life.

  6. Years and years ago I took a Zig Ziglar sales course. Zig's seminars are full of quotes like yours above. I have never forgotten the importance of attitude wherever you apply it in your life. When I am having a "bad" day, I consciously put a smile on my face and nearly every time I can turn that day around 180 degrees!

  7. Good Morning, Karen,
I love the quote...I'll have to remember that one too. We also use the 'Attitude' poem by Charles Swindoll in my Personal Development class.

And...did you see Jane Fonda on the Today show yesterday. She was asked about how she can still look so fabulous at age 71. Her quick response was 'attitude'. A great thought for today...everyday!

    Have a thankful Thursday ~Natalie

  9. A friend told me about this website: http://www.billionclicks.org/ The author is doing an experiment to recognize all her positive thoughts, and is asking others to join her. I think it is a great idea!

  10. This is so true. I am typically always positive which usually makes me the cheer leader for friends and family. Challenges in life do not define us - it's how we handle the challenges! Thanks Karen for the pep talk!
