Bird Nesting Material Update...

Remember the tutorial for this bird nesting material cage? (Click HERE to go to that post.)

Well, look what I found in the tree not far away from the cage...

I'm not saying all the fluffy stuff in that bird's nest is from my nesting cage, but...

my crafting heart hopes it is!!

Save some of your crafting, sewing, knitting scraps and make a nesting cage for your feathered friends.

Happy Friday,
~Karen~

  6. Great use of scraps. Is the nest as huge as it looks in the picture? I'm wondering what kind of bird builds a nest that large.

  8. Great idea! I always toss my threads from sewing projects on the bushes around the yard. Doesn't stay there long!

  9. That's great! I love leaving little snippets for "my" birds. I often see them pulling pieces, but I've never seen a nest like that!

  12. I'm definitely going to try this. So glad I found your blog. I wasn't sure at first because I don't sew much. We visited New England several years ago and loved it. Stowe, Vermont was so beautiful.

  14. Fantastic - kind of looks like he put too much detergent in his washing machine and flooded the nest. I'm sure it must be super cozy in there for him.

  15. I received a cage like bird feeder for Christmas and wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it. Now I know!! I love to sit in my garden and watch the birds and butterflies flutter through my yard. Thanks for this wonderful idea.

  17. Just do NOT put in BRIGHTLY colored scraps.... makes their nest a neon sign for predators.
