Hi everyone! Just a little side note before I start. If this post goes through and isn't finished or looks weird...I'm trying to write it before the power goes out on Sunday morning of the hurricane. It's scheduled to post on Monday, so we'll see! Lol !!
Have you every loaded pictures onto a post and they look straight when you have them on your computer, but when you load them to your blog they're flipped?
Well, I am no computer expert and there may be a simple explanation for it, but here's how I fixed this problem for me a couple years ago.
Where ever you store your photos on your computer do these few simple steps first...
- highlight all the photos in that group (left click and drag your mouse until all pictures are blue...well mine are blue when they are high lighted)
- right click and scroll down the drop down bar and click "Rotate Clockwise"
- once it's finished, right click again and click "Rotate Counter Clockwise"
- that's it...that fixes it for me!! They always show up straight after that.
Photos store in computer.
High lighted.
Rotate Clockwise
Pictures all sideways.
Now Rotate Counter Clockwise to get them straight again.
Quick and easy fix. Maybe the new blogger has helped with this problem, but every once in a while if I forget to do this a picture sneaks in the crooked.
Have a great Monday,
~Karen~
You are so smart and I sure hope you are safe. Please let us know as soon as you get power.
ReplyDeleteI've never had that problem. But if I do, I'll try this, as that would make me upset too.
ReplyDeleteI've had that problem and have done the same fix. I don't know why, but it works :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, but I don't have a blog. I am here mostly to check how you are.
ReplyDeleteWe had little effect from Irene here in Central PA. Just a little under 3 inches of rain and some strong winds. My husband just gave my bushes an early manicure to repair them and that was all the damage we had.
Please let us know as soon as you can that you are OK. I will keep checking back. Thanks!!!
I am a newbie I am so glad I found your blog. I am in the process of fixing up a spare small room for sewing/crafts. I am a Grandmother to 5 & work part time. Your site has been a Godsend to me. My husband just got diagnosed with leukemia when going for a regular check up. We have been in such shock I can't even begin to form it in words. It is incurable but moves more slowly so we are praying he won't need treatment anytime soon. I have always wanted to learn to sew quilts & I need to do something that doesn't involve food. I am a nervous eater. Your blog is so uplifting & encouraging in sew many ways. Thanks for all you do.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the how to's for my blog! I couldn't figure out how to link another site to mine, now I can!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen. Every time this happens, I go back to the picture, rotate it counterclockwise, and when I upload it, it appears correctly... Funny thing, not all pictures need this fix, but I like your idea of flipping them ahead of time, just in case!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to try this! I have had several photos do that sideways thing on me and I never could figure out why. Thanks for your blogging tips section. AWESOME!!!!!
