Inexpensive Card Party or Casino Night Ideas...

Hi everyone! Next weekend, we are having my dad's 90th birthday party celebration. He loves to play cards, so what better theme than a card party!!

Here are a few of the ideas I have come up with so far to decorate and share with my family…a card garland, napkin rings, drinking glass markers, centerpiece vase, confetti and little gift bags.

Today, I'll show you how to make the playing card garland.

The best part about all the projects is how inexpensive they are. I bought these cards at the Dollar Tree. Two packs of cards per box and they were only a dollar!! That's less than one penny per card.

I love the large size of the numbers too!

To make the garland, you'll need the cards, ribbon and a hole punch.

I also have a large paper punch that normally punches the 3 holes in paper for a three ring binder. It's much easier to do large numbers of cards with the bigger paper punch.

I just used one hole maker on the punch and marked where I wanted the hole to be with a piece of tape on the punch.

You will need 2 holes on the top of each Card. First, slide the card in and line it up with the tape. Punch a whole.

Turn it over and line it up with the tape again and punch the second hole.

You can stack up to five cards at a time in the bigger punches. Doing it with the hand punch is easy too, just takes a few minutes longer.

The best part is the bonus. The hole punch makes CONFETTI to decorate the tables!!!

Thread the ribbon or string through the holes on each card.

I hung the garland in an archway to check the size and it definitely need a little something.

I had ribbon and some tulle that I cut up to decorate it!

I alternated with black and red ribbon to make the card colors. I also added the tulle for texture.

Much better!

I'll share all the other projects over the next few days. When I actually decorate for the party next weekend, I'll share those pictures too!!

Thanks for stopping by,
