Quick and Easy Idea for Wrapping Gift Cards...

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick and cute way to wrap a gift card for the holidays or any occasion really. Gift cards are the perfect gift for someone who is hard to buy for or a great little stocking stuffer for little treats the recipient can use after the holidays.

When I give gift cards to my kids I always try to wrap it special, so it's like a present to open. The best way to wrap a gift card from restaurants or fast food chains is to ask for a container from that store.

This year our favorite new spot in town is an Orange Leaf frozen yogurt shop. The kids still go during the cold winter days. Perfect gift card idea!

Come on in and see how cute the packaging is!!!

The best way to wrap a gift card is in a container from that store!! Just ask for the container when buying the gift cards. Most stores are great about giving them to you. I always tell them I'm using it for the wrapping and they are usually happy to give them to me for free!

I always add a little bit of color grass to make it festive.

Put the cover on, add a bow and you are all set!!!

Here's another idea I made a long time ago for another post. Dunkin Donuts gift card in the cup with the brown grass to look like there's iced coffee in it. Add a bow and a straw and it's all wrapped. The straw is the perfect thing to tie a gift tag on too!!

EDIT…

Just wrapped one more gift certificate for a Chinese restaurant. So cute packaged in a Christmas "take-out" box! I found the box at Walmart, but they sell these boxes all year long in plain colors for any occaision at craft stores.

Just roll the long certificate and tie with a ribbon.

Hope this was a quick and helpful wrapping idea.

Have a great day,
~Karen~

  2. Super cute idea. We do gift cards for my cousin's kids every year, and this year I filled ball jars with candy and stuck the cards down in. It was pretty cute.

  3. How adorable! I've never seen anything like these before, usually gift cards are just put on envelopes. That's why I think they're not so thoughtful, because it seemed like the giver didn't give much effort on it. But these ones are perfect! Sometimes, I find it hard to pick a gift to someone who's so unpredictable. Great post!

  6. I love the reusable cup as gift card holder! Would be great when giving Starbucks cards, and they have those nifty little $1 reusable cups, making it frugal "wrapping" as well. Thank you for the great idea!
    Merry Christmas!

  9. Cute idea! You could stuff those right into the stocking or even in a gift bag if you want to keep it hidden. If you got one one from Lowes, you could buy a small tool to wrap with it. The possibilities are endless!

  15. The dome-top cup is the best idea -- it adds a little peek, a little shine, and features the colorful filler. I love these! Thank you.
