Easy Christmas Kitchen Decoration...

Hi everyone! If you love a simple look for Christmas in your kitchen or if there is Christmas all over your home and you just want to add something small , here's an easy project.

Christmas trees in your canister set!

I know, silly, but it does add a little holiday to your kitchen which usually gets passed over in the decoration department.

Come in for the details!

I've had these little trees for years and years. I usually have them in my Dicken's Village set. They are about 6-7 inches tall.

I used a plastic sandwich bag to cover the bottom of the tree as it sits in the sugar and flour.

Just wrap it around the stem.

You could cover the bottom branches too if you're worried.

I use these canisters for so many things. I have 6 of them now…some were gifts for Christmas one year and others I bought myself. They are from Walmart. They are about 14 inches tall and are $9.97. Believe it or not, these canisters were $13.97 a few years ago and the price actual went down!!

Cute little tree in a pile of "snow".

If you have small canisters, they do sell the bottle brush style Christmas trees that will fit perfectly in a smaller jar.

Another idea to add this touch to your kitchen is to fill a large canning jar with a little epsom salt and then add a small tree. The epsom salt is sparkly too!!

Have a great day,
~Karen~

  1. I have an antique glass car battery case that I've used to decorate. I covered the bottom of the glass with Epsom salts and used several sizes of the bottle brush trees along with a small snowman. It turned out really cute! Love you idea of using the canisters.

  4. We don't have snow at Christmas but I have an old fish bowl that I use and fill with beach sand and tree and lots of little boxes that I made to look like presents. My neighbours children always come over to see the fishes Christmas tree and to see if one day I put water in it and maybe a fish
