Hurricane Sandy...

Prayers to all in New Jersey and New York and everyone in the path of Hurricane Sandy. This is a massive storm of over 1000 miles wide. We live on the southern coast of Rhode Island and flooding along the coast of our town has already started. We are about 5 miles from the coast and not in the flood zone, but power outages are pretty much expected.

I hope everyone stays safe and out of harms way...

  7. We are about the same from the coast, so in a dry area. Wickford is already flooding from the high tides.
We got everything done and the generator all set to go, so hunkering down with some projects to keep me busy.

  8. Please be cognizant of the rainfall and possible flooding even in areas not prone to flood. Wind can knock debris into blocking the water's path into sewers and cause flooding where there usually isn't flooding. I'm sorry but that's a hurricane fact of life here in NC and my Mom gene makes me tell you... I hope you're all safe and sound and not terribly impacted. Know that we'll all be thinking about you.
