Great Quilting Apps For Your Smart Phone...

Hi everyone! I was searching around the app store on my iPhone and found some great apps for quilting, so thought I would share them with you.

I have no affiliation with these apps. I just found them and think they're great.

I'm not sure if all apps are available for all smart phones, so maybe do a search in your app store on your phone and see what you can find too.

Let me show you each one individually...it will be the app followed by a screen shot of my phone and what the app looks like.

Oh, by the way...they're all FREE!!!
Missouri Star Quilt Co...

quilt apps

Such awesome videos. I have watched these on YouTube, but this is so great to have on my phone.

Quilting Daily...

Lots of videos and blog posts to read.

quilt apps

This one is my favorite!! Quilt Shop Locator

It's called Quilters Club of America

quilt apps

Start your search with a zip code.

Just look at the number of quilt shops I have to visit in the southern New England area. I better fill up the gas tank, pick up Tina and start driving. Lol

quilt apps

This next one is called QuiltFab.

quilt apps

Just enter in all the measurement details for your quilt and it will tell you how much fabric to buy.

This one is...How Much Thread by Superior Threads

quilt apps

You just fill in a size of quilt and how much quilting you will be doing on it (light, medium or heavy) and it will tell you how much thread you'll need.

My example in red is a baby/lap quilt, lightly quilted and the answer is 200 yards of thread for the top stitching. Amazing!

quilt apps

The last one is by Robert Kaufman and it's a Quilting Calculator.

quilt apps

Just fill in your measurement numbers and it will tell you how much fabric for binding, backing and even how many squares you can get out of a piece of fabric.

Has metric too.

Love this one.

I hope these are available for all smart phones. I did check the app store on my iMac and these were not available for my home computer. I wish they were, so I could use them while sewing at home, but that's ok...my phone is just as good.

Some are available for my iPad, but others are not...Yes to Robert Kaufman, BlockFab, How Much Thread, Quilt Shops Locator,

Happy Apping,
~Karen~
