Rolo Pretzel...Easy, Yummy Recipe

Do you love a treat that's sweet and salty, then crunchy and chewy all in one bite? Then you will love this recipe.

Rolo Pretzel...




Two ingredients and a few minutes of your time. The longest part was unwrapping the Rolos.

I used the square pretzels...more pretzel surface than the twisted kind.

If you don't know what a Rolo is, you are missing out. It is a chewy caramel covered in milk chocolate.


Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.  Lay down the pretzels and top each pretzel with one unwrapped Rolo.


 Bake in the oven for about 3 minutes until they are melty like this.


I topped mine with another pretzel, but you could also top each one with a pecan half or walnut.


Press down to squish into a sandwich. "Squish" being the technical cooking term here...Lol


Cool completely. I popped them in the refrigerator after they cooled on the counter for a few minutes.


These are DELICIOUS!!!


Crunchy. Chewy. Salty. Sweet.

Nothing Better!!

  1. We made these once, but we used Hershey's Hugs (kisses, but with white and milk chocolate swirled together). They were the perfect blend of salty and sweet! So good.

    1. Hello, ladies (and gentlemen, if there are any),

      We make them the same way as you do, Paige, but we add an M&M on top of the Hershey's Hugs and sort of squish it down when the Hugs are warm. It's especially cute at Valentines Day when M&Ms sells the Valentine themed red, pink, and white M&Ms.

  2. I make these for the refreshment table at square dances - I usually top them with a pecan half, for easy-peasy turtles....and I never have any leftovers to bring home. They're always among the first plates to be emptied.

  3. OMG! I have neither rolos nor pretzels in the house. Do you know what you have done to me????? It is 1 am, and I cannot go out and get any either.......aughhh!

  4. OOOOoooo can just imagine how onolicious (great tasting) they would be if you used a mini SNICKERS???? This is going to the top of my MUST TRY list before I have to ban myself from sweets for Lent. LOL

  5. Good Morning Karen, Oh my, these look delicious. Do you know, I think this is the sort of biscuit where I could enjoy more than one, well maybe two, or three with a good cup of coffee. These are altogether too gorgeous.

  11. During the holidays I made 3 batches of these, topped with pecans from my friend's tree here in Georgia!! And I have another bag of Rolos ready to make another batch for my Quilt Retreat coming up in February. Can't wait!!

  14. It seems like everybody made these this past holiday season in some sort of variety - It was SO hard to find Rolo's anywhere because everyone had bought them all up! :) They are tasty, though!

  15. These look wonderful! I will try them with Rolos some time soon. I make them with Hershey's kisses and right after I squeeze the second pretzel on I sprinkle them with holiday color sprinkles which adhere to the melted chocolate so they become a holiday treat!
    YUM!!!

  21. I made the ones with a pecan on the top and packed them in the Chinese food boxes you can find at Michaels. Great teacher gifts! (I gave a coupon to the movies too. I just cannot give a gift w/o something homemade! Its getting to be an obsession....sigh)

Here is a recipe where being a little OCD doesn't work...I lined them all up nice and neat so they would look good in the oven (I'm telling you, it's a gift), but when I put the top pretzel on they were too close and now I have to wait until they cool to see if I can cut them apart!! LOL...They still taste great!!
