Learn how to English Paper Piece hexagons. Click here.

This is the smallest sized hexagon.

A little ornament...not stuffed yet.

Mini pincushion.

Largest hexagon used to make Grandmother's Flower Garden piece great for applique on a pillow.

but a quick way to sew it on the machine if you don't want to paper piece. Click here for machine sewing hexies.

I used the 2 1/2" strip cutter to cut the 3 different colored strips that I sewed together. Then I placed that in the Tumbler die to make the Candy Corn for Halloween. I alternated the striped candy corn with Halloween fabric cut with the tumbler too.

If you are not into English Paper Piecing, but love hexagons and Grandmother's Flower Gardens...how about using my favorite glue and sealer. MOD PODGE here we come!!

I haven't glued either of these designs down on this tray yet. I can't decide. Which one do you like? I also have a Christmas tree cut out, but forgot to take a picture of it.

How about taking 2 of the candy corns and 2 of the Halloween fabric that are cut with the Tumbler die and make the cutest treat bag to hand out to special Trick or Treaters. Click here for Candy Corn bag instructions.

Perfect size for lots of goodies!

Next is a hexie Book Worm Bookmark. I used the medium sized hexagon die for this. Super fast to make...and all on the machine. No hand sewing. Aren't his little eyes the cutest! Click here for tutorial.

and lastly here is a great little set for when you are having friends over for dinner. It's a hexagon place card holder and a matching hexie coaster. Click here for instructions.

ReplyDeleteoption 2 - I am a following :-)
ReplyDeleteKaren, I just want to say thank you so much for having this giveaway and for not requiring us to go to Facebook and post. I do not want to reopen my account on Facebook. So, I went to their site. Oh goodness, choosing just one die is hard. LOL I think I would choose the hexagon. Winona
